In today’s world, it’s hard enough to find a product that is completely sugar-free. There is a huge number of varieties of “white death”: sucrose, fructose, lactose, glucose, maltose. Sometimes you just want to eat something sweet, but it’s important to remember that excessive sugar consumption can cause irreparable damage to your body.

To begin with, sugar is generally necessary for the body. But on one condition – everything must be in moderation. The glucose contained in ordinary white sugar fills the brain with energy. It increases mood, makes the world brighter and more interesting.

Sugar in fruits is not particularly harmful, although they should not be overdone. But cakes, pastries and other desserts will not be useful. There is a generally accepted safe norm of sugar consumption – it is five teaspoons per day. But if you do not limit yourself at all in the consumption of sweets, sad consequences are guaranteed: bones will eventually become more fragile, there will be a deficiency of calcium and vitamin B, increasing the risk of obesity, diabetes, problems with the pancreas and intestines.

The skin will become better
Since sugar causes the production of cortisol, a stress hormone, its exclusion from the diet will stabilize sleep. As a consequence, this will affect the condition of the skin.

Depressive thoughts will go away
Have you noticed that if you are in a bad mood, you consume more sweets to make you feel better and cheerful? Congratulations, you have fallen into an addiction! Your brain has gotten caught up in the effects of glucose, and now you feel a constant lack of it. Giving up sugar will help stabilize your mood and strengthen your emotional well-being.

Sugar creates a favorable environment for bacteria on your teeth. As a result, enamel thins and decay occurs. Giving up sugar will do your teeth a lot of good and reduce the risk of disease.
