Jessica Simpson lost 45 pounds in six months after giving birth. 4 fitness secrets of the singer

Famous American singer Jessica Simpson has been struggling with excess weight all her life. But after the birth of her third child, she was horrified – the arrow of the scale stopped at 108 kilograms! The girl decided to abandon the previous methods of weight loss, began to work out hard and eventually lost 45 kg in just six months. How did she do it?

Slimming pills led to mental problems

Jessica was 17 years old when she came to the attention of Sony Music president Tommy Mottola. The producer was ruthless:

I want to sign you to a contract, but you need to lose seven pounds.

Simpson was surprised, as she already weighed just 53 kilograms at 160 centimeters tall, but she complied nonetheless. “I immediately went on a strict diet and started taking diet pills. Such was my life for the next 20 years,” – said the singer.

Such experiments did not go without a trace – Simpson lost weight, but at the same time starved. “While I was waiting for the sleeping pills to work, I saw voices.

Let’s do more squats, fatty.

By the time I released the first single of my second album, I had lost 46 kilos and everyone was saying how great I looked. But I wasn’t happy about it. I was starving,” Simpson admits.

When she gained at least a couple of pounds, the girl immediately began to be ridiculed in the tabloids. Jessica constantly felt that everyone looks at her with judgment and for the eyes called a fat cow. In the end, weight problems were superimposed on a difficult childhood, the burden of fame and constant anxiety, with all this Jessica tried to fight with the help of alcohol and pills.

Only in 2017, the girl was able to completely cure herself. The public closely followed the girl’s weight, but she still remained charming and won recognition as a fashionable and sexy diva. In 2010, she met her current husband, former American soccer player Eric Johnson. The couple now has three children – the firstborn Jessica gave birth in 2012, and a year later the second child was born. Both times the girl successfully managed to lose excess weight after childbirth.

The third child and -45 kg in six months

With the greatest difficulties Jessica faced during and after the third pregnancy. Poor health, lower back pain, bronchitis, insomnia, acid reflux and terrible swellings, which she did not hesitate to demonstrate to subscribers in Instagram, and even ironized herself.

“I want everything delicious – cakes, buns, marmalade, cherries. Give me everything at once. I do not limit myself, as soon as I found out about the pregnancy, immediately dumped the potbelly, spread her thighs wide and began to walk in a sprawl,” – joked Jessica.

The real work began immediately after giving birth in March 2019 and six months later, Simpson showed stunning results.

Six months, minus 45 kg. Yes, I weighed 108 kilograms. Proud to feel like myself again. Even when it seemed impossible, I just kept working harder.

Jessica was helped by personal trainer Harley Pasternak, who has been working with the singer for years. The main message was not just weight loss, but lifestyle changes. “It was important not just to get rid of the extra weight after giving birth, but to completely adopt new habits. The fact that she got rid of 45 kg in doing so is just a side effect.

After the first two births, I was just helping her get in shape, but now it was different. She wanted to look stunning again, to be hot, confident and energetic, “- says Pasternak.

Simpson was patient and began to develop healthy habits. Here are four of the pop diva’s top fitness secrets:

14,000 steps a day

The main physical activity of Jessica became walking, namely 14 thousand steps a day. But not immediately – the singer started with 6 thousand and gradually increased the load. She tried as often as possible to go for a walk with the children, and also got on the treadmill when watching TV or talking on the phone.

Regular workouts at the gym

Jessica exercised three times a week for 45 minutes. “I didn’t ask her to do anything too difficult or painful because I knew she wouldn’t develop a good habit that way. We started with a light full-body workout, doing one approach to each exercise, and gradually increased the volume and intensity, working a different muscle group each time,” Pasternak explains.

A diet with indulgences

Jessica is familiar with various diets, but this time she opted for a more balanced approach to nutrition. Pasternak designed a meal plan for her that is dominated by lean proteins and vegetables, and also found alternatives to Jessica’s favorite sweets. The diet should not be too strict – three full meals and two snacks a day (for example, peas with parmesan or a handful of almonds). At the same time, Jessica could allow herself small indulgences and occasionally eat something tasty, but not too healthy. “The main thing is to find a balance so that it’s not hard to give up your old lifestyle,” says the coach.

Getting a full night’s sleep

One of the easiest tasks in weight loss is getting enough sleep. “Many people underestimate the importance of sleep in weight loss or weight management,” says Pasternak. In the evening, Jessica would write an e-mail to her coach about the current day’s results, put aside all gadgets and rest.

“She would go to bed with a sense of accomplishment. She was very motivated, kept a positive attitude. Said that for the last 10 years her body hadn’t belonged to her. Of course, in a good way, because a woman’s body is designed to create new life. And now her body belongs to her again, and she is excited to work on making it fantastic,” Pasternak concludes the story. At 39, Simpson looks amazing and glows with happiness.
