  • energy value – 88 kcal;
  • carbohydrates – 8 g;
  • proteins – 2 g;
  • fats – 0,6 g.

To prepare turmeric latte usually use milk, honey, ginger and most importantly – turmeric.

Turmeric, or Indian saffron, has a beautiful golden color and a very bright aroma. It is made from a plant that grows in Asia and Central America.

Curcumin has an antioxidant effect, fights inflammation and strengthens the nervous system. As a result, turmeric latte has a positive effect on the body:

  • strengthens immunity;

  • stimulates brain function;
  • reduces the risk of degenerative diseases;
  • reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease by affecting the lining of blood vessels.

The drink is useful also due to the various minerals in its composition: manganese, iron and copper, as well as magnesium, which has a positive effect on the nervous system, and potassium, which is necessary for normal hematopoiesis.

But you need to realize that curcumin, once in the body, is quickly processed and excreted. Therefore, you should not expect one cup of latte to have a significant impact on your health. One should constantly consume turmeric, adding it to various dishes and drinks to get a visible effect.

How to prepare turmeric latte?

You will need:

  • coconut milk – 250 ml;
  • dates – 3 pieces (or topinambour syrup);
  • cinnamon – 1/2 tsp;
  • ginger powder – 1/2 tsp;
  • turmeric – 1/2 tsp;
  • coconut oil – 1/2 tsp;
  • pinch of pepper;
  • pinch of cardamom;
  • pinch of nutmeg.

Pour coconut milk into a saucepan. Add the seedless dates, turmeric, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg and pepper. Stirring, gradually heat the mixture, then remove from heat. Gently whisk with a blender. Done! Now you can pour the drink into a beautiful mug and sprinkle with cinnamon for decoration.
