How does hanging on the bar affect the spine?

Such a simple exercise, indeed, greatly affects the back. If you regularly and correctly hang on the bar, you can strengthen the spine and even stretch it a little. It is due to this factor that your height will slightly increase.

Many fitness enthusiasts devote a few minutes to hanging on the bar after the main workout. They do this in order to let the vertebrae recover from the heavy load and stretch tired muscles.

It turns out that only people who do not have problems with weight and spine can benefit from the exercises on the bar. For the rest, the trainer recommends that you perform half-hanging with support, that is, touching the ground with your feet. It is much safer than the usual one.

Alexander: In this variant the load is partially reduced from the shoulder girdle and arms. Also there is no stretching of the abs and there is an opportunity to stretch the spine.

Do not jump off the bar

The trainer advises, and not without reason, not to make sudden movements after you finish hanging. To do this, gradually transfer your body weight to your feet until you are completely on the ground.

In winter, few people will agree to go outside and exercise on a cold bar. Not everyone has the equipment at home. But, according to the coach, any similar object can serve as an alternative to the tourniquet.

Alexander: If we do not take into account specially designated places for physical training and sports, then any object similar to it can serve as a bar. A mobile sliding bar and functional loops are also suitable.
