Some experts believe that teeth should be cleaned immediately after waking up and then eat food. Others are inclined to the fact that it is better to have breakfast first and brush your teeth after eating. There is logic in both the first and the second. However, there are no studies that unequivocally prove the rightness of one of the options.

In addition, all these bacteria together with food get into the gastrointestinal tract, which can negatively affect its work. However, there are also no studies confirming the harm of getting these bacteria into the GI tract.

Everyone has noticed that after waking up, the smell of breath is not quite pleasant, it feels like there are a lot of soft dental deposits in the oral cavity. Therefore, many people want to freshen up before breakfast so they can enjoy their food without unpleasant odors and flavors.

So what’s the right way to do it?

The timing of brushing depends on several factors: the amount of plaque in your mouth, the time of your last meal, and the susceptibility of your teeth to decay. In general, the order can be whatever you want it to be.

By and large there is no such difference, the choice of time depends on your individual preferences. The main thing is to brush your teeth at least twice a day – in the morning and in the evening. Good oral hygiene is the key to good health for years to come.
