How I gave up dairy for a week and why it turned into a regular practice

For the first time I consciously gave up dairy products for six months in 2014. At that time I was solving the problem of non-allergic runny nose: my nose was always stuffy and I had to inject vasoconstrictors. One bottle was enough for me for two days.

Already on the third day after giving up milk after waking up in the morning I realized that I stopped choking. By the end of the week, on the fifth day, I was able to completely give up drops. It seemed like a miracle to me at the time, but then I found out that milk is one of the strongest inflammation products for adults.

Candida fungus, which causes, in particular, diseases of the female genital sphere, can be the cause of PMS and headaches, allergic reactions, feeds on milk and fermented milk products. When we exclude them from the diet, the development of this type of microorganisms in the body is inhibited, and any restorative practice gives more effective results.

At first, giving up this category of products seemed difficult for me, as they are often used to prepare sauces, cheeses, yogurts – all of which turned out to be forbidden. I also had to change the recipe of my usual dishes, as milk is also used for home baking.

Now I give up dairy, for example, for a month and for the time when I am recovering my intestinal health, to improve the state of my body.

This is easier for me now, as there is a wide range of plant-based products in the stores. You can also pay attention to lactose-free options.

Milk is one of the most common allergens. And it causes not only immediate allergies, but also delayed food reactions. About 30% of my patients do not digest the casein of cow’s milk.

What is the reason for this?

  • First, adults have far fewer enzymes to digest the complex protein of cow’s milk. Children have them, called cathepsins.
  • Second, milk contains growth factors that children need that adults do not.

A person who poorly digests milk, may encounter symptomatology: decreased immunity, catarrhal nasal discharge, bloating, digestive disorders, rashes, etc. When abandoning the fermented milk product, respectively, these symptomatology disappears.

What are the products of inflammation?

There are indeed food products that can cause inflammation in the body. In what way?

When you consume foods, they pass through the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) and into the intestines where absorption occurs. Today, most residents have a failing intestinal barrier (damaged intestinal microflora), resulting in what is known as increased intestinal permeability syndrome.

Food agents get into the blood, then the immune system comes into play. It can not always understand what is in front of her – an infection or poorly digested food (due to deficiencies in enzymes, lack of a normal intestinal barrier, genetic intolerance).

Her organs produce antibodies to food antigens, bind and form sticky complexes of immunoglobulins, which are practically not eliminated by the body’s detoxification systems, settle on cells and cause inflammation.

An overloaded immune system (due to the constant battle with food agents) can malfunction, causing autoimmune diseases or immunodeficiency states.
