Nowadays, it is almost impossible to surprise potential buyers with another sneakers or sweatshirt, released by a sports brand together with the stars. After all, most often the main purpose of such cooperation is hype and financial gain. However, there are legendary and really stylish collaborations, for which even today there are queues. A few timeless clothing and footwear lines are in our selection.

Raf Simons x adidas Originals Ozweego

A combination of classic and minimalism.

The collaboration between Belgian designer Raf Simons and sports concern adidas began in 2013. Since then, each year the adidas by Raf Simons brand has released a large number of modified silhouettes reflecting the synthesis of some of the most notable names in the fashion world.

The main hallmark of Simons’ work is minimalism. The designer’s collections are inspired by niche subcultures and their aesthetics. All of this is reflected in the collaboration with adidas Originals. The first release consisted of reimagined Ozweego and Terrex silhouettes. Mixing some 90’s elements with new colors and treatments created a futuristic look that showcases Raf Simons’ unique style.

Kanye West x adidas Originals YEEZY Boost 750

The beginning of a great friendship between the rapper and the sports brand.

The rapper’s collaboration with the German sports brand began in 2013, and the first joint collection came out two years later. The main discovery of the collaboration was the adidas Originals Yeezy Boost 750 model, released in gray color. It marked the beginning of a long-term collaboration. After such a successful debut, new sneakers from Kanye West began to be released regularly, and almost every Yeezy model causes a stir among fans.

Nike x Stranger Things.

Fans of the series and pyromaniacs are dedicated.

In the summer of 2019, the Nike brand presented a collaboration with the sensational TV series Very Stranger Things. The source of inspiration for designers became the signature colors of Hawkins High School: red, white and green. The Classic Cortez, Blazer Mid and Air Tailwind 79 are all in this colorway.

On the side of the sneakers is a tiger patch – the symbol of the school, and the back features the logo of the series and the Nike swoosh. However, you have to torch the suede fabric layer to see them.

A$AP Rocky x Jeremy Scott adidas wings 2.0.

Street grunge with an American flag.

The Jeremy Scott x A$AP Rocky limited edition was released in 2013. The rapper can be safely called a trendsetter not only in music, but also in the fashion industry. His ability to combine the laws of high fashion and street grunge leaves no one indifferent.

Jeremy Scott drew inspiration for this collaboration from A$AP Rocky’s debut album, which features a black and white American flag on the cover. The rapper as a true fan of Wings sneakers added his own details to the design. The model became all-black, and small elements are highlighted through different textures, materials and embroidery. Like the previous series, the limited edition Wings collection features stars on the left shoe and stripes on the right, and together they form an American flag.

Oxxxymiron x Reebok

A lifetime on the road.

In 2017, hip-hop artist Oxxxymiron’s second capsule collection was released. It included just four items: a t-shirt, a hoodie, athletic pants, and sneakers. The items have the artist’s logo and the inscription “Whole Life On The Road” – “Whole Life On The Road” – a kind of the artist’s manifesto. That’s why the phrase is printed with a bright yellow stripe, symbolizing road markings on the pavement.

Oxxxymiron’s favorite sneaker model Club Champions was also changed. They are made of gray suede, with a black sole. On the tongues there is the logo of the performer and Reebok Classic, on the insoles – the artist’s autograph, and on the heels – the slogan of the collection.
