Is it so necessary to train on New Year’s weekend? Or is it possible to take a break?

Long New Year holidays are ahead, and many fitness enthusiasts ask themselves the question: “What should I do? Should I continue to train as usual or interrupt the training process for these long vacations?”. Should you start working out over the vacations or can you give yourself a break? Especially when during the holidays you are surrounded by relatives and friends who do not do sports, there is no motivation to go to the gym: so is it necessary to force yourself there?

The second category – amateurs – is probably the most common group. How to be for them? It is known that consistency and regimen are the basis of successful results. So what threatens the organism if we break for 10 New Year’s days? Now we are talking about people who have a certain fitness experience and have already gained a certain amount of muscle mass, lost weight, increased their aerobic performance.

December, as a rule, is a busy month for everyone, and people come to the gym more often than usual to “get into a dress or a suit”, “to enter the new year with a reserve of fitness”. So, by the holidays, general fatigue accumulates. And sometimes you need to take a step back, to then rush forward with renewed vigor. So for some people such a break will even be good for them, they will be motivated and willing to train again. If there were small injuries, for 10-14 days joints and ligaments just a little rest and recover.

As an option, you can come up with a daily morning exercise for 10-15 minutes. Squat, lunges, push-ups – and you can go to the shower, and then in the company of relatives and friends with a clear conscience to drink delicious flavored tea and enjoy the rest. But this way you will easily return to the previous regime and will not need time to get into the habitual routine. So there are many options. Here everyone chooses himself.

Those who every time make a “feat”, coming to the gym

The third category is unlikely to ask such questions. Only, unlike the first, the choice will not be in favor of training. Holidays are a great excuse: you can pofilonit and not go to training. You should not condemn yourself for this. On the contrary, you can even praise yourself.

Do not worry if you had to go away and will not be able to go to the gym. You can always train at home.

The choice is yours, but in any case, even if you have chosen a vacation (no matter whether you are a beginner or a “fanatic”), you do not need to blame yourself for your choice and every day feel guilty. Otherwise, this vacation will not be good for you. It’s better to rest to the fullest and enjoy it. And then when you return to the gym you will feel how much strength, energy and desire you have. Even if you gain a couple of kilograms, don’t be upset. What you gained quickly, you will quickly take off!
