Why go to Crimea in the fall. 4 ideas for an unforgettable trip

Crimea has long been not about “wild” vacation, as in the movie “Three plus Two”, and “wild” service. If you look at the peninsula a little more carefully, you can find a dozen ideas for a comfortable, rich and interesting vacation for a variety of requests.

Collected a few ideas for an unforgettable vacation.

Taste local wines

A significant territory of the peninsula is covered with vineyards, near which both in the times of the USSR and in recent years, wineries and tasting houses have sprung up. Crimean terroirs are well-known in the professional community and offer wine connoisseurs a wide range of drinks – from quiet young to sparkling and fortified.

I recommend to build an enogastronomic route taking into account several “checkpoints”: Balaklava “Golden beam”, legendary “Massandra” in Simeiz, “Koktebel” and “Bakhchisarai” in the cities of the same name and “Sevastopol Champagne Winery”. And to wines to pick up seasonal local specialties and first of all – figs.

By the way, scientists believe that good wine is useful not only for mood. Researchers have found out that red wine contains a component that slows down aging. Read more about it in our article.

Relax by the sea

Up to October, the peninsula continues the velvet season, when the beaches of the southern coast of Crimea, the mountains of Central Crimea and the eastern steppes are especially comfortable: there are few vacationers, and heat – enough. In addition, in early fall sharply falling price tag for accommodation and transfer, which allows you to bring the rest to a new level and finally break the stereotype that you can only rest in the Crimea “savage”.

Visit movie locations

In the Crimea concentrated so many movie locations that in the USSR it was called no other than “Soviet Hollywood”. At different times it has played the role of the Mediterranean coast, the Limpopo Valley, Spanish La Mancha, the Caribbean Sea, and the fictional Zurbagan and Lissa. Among the most popular movie locations: Bolshaya Yalta, Alushta, Sevastopol, and the Belogorsk district.

In the Crimea were successfully filmed hundreds of legendary tapes that became classics of Soviet and then Russian cinema: “Assa”, “Amphibian Man”, “Sportloto-82”. And not least thanks to the filming locations: the scarlet sails fluttering against the greenery of Koktebel alone are worth it!

Walk the paths of writers and poets

Crimea inspired and inspires outstanding Russian writers, actors and musicians. Pushkin and Tolstoy, Gorky, Pasternak, Zoshchenko and, of course, the recognized “genius of the place” – Chekhov dedicated odes to it. It was from the embankments of Crimean cities that the unreliable intelligentsia sailed to emigration. And musical references to the peninsula can be found in the works of musicians of various genres – from Chaliapin and Vysotsky to Zemfira and Underwood.

Today several cities claim to be the bohemian capital of Crimea, but the leaders are Yalta and Koktebel. It is there that I recommend starting those very “searches for inspiration” that each of us needs from time to time.
