Kuznetsov’s Iplicator: Why the Soviet invention is worth having at home even now

The applicator or, as it is often called, the Kuznetsov applicator was invented in the late 1970s. More than 75 million sets of needle mats were sold in the USSR, the cost of which was one ruble. Now such massagers are becoming popular again. It is believed that they help with a variety of ailments: all you need to do is apply the applicator, apply pressure within the limits of pain tolerance and do it regularly.

A popular invention of a Soviet music teacher

In the late 1970s, a music teacher from Chelyabinsk, Ivan Kuznetsov, became a folk healer. He treated himself, but it turned out that his invention spread throughout the Soviet Union. In the second half of the 1980s, the kits were sold by the millions! They were even sold in grocery stores.

The modern Kuznetsov applicator, often called the Tibetan applicator, is most often a fabric mat. Inside it is a soft filler, and the surface is completely covered with round or square plates with double teeth. It is they that distinguish the Kuznetsov applicator from other massagers.

Interestingly, the first applicator was a piece of Styrofoam with needles stuck into it in a certain order. Kuznetsov independently studied acupuncture and reflexology, and in his invention he applied all the knowledge and practical experience. The massager affects the body zone, not a specific point.

It is enough to apply the applicator to the problem areas with the prongs, pressing up to the pain threshold. Needles stimulate blood circulation, the spread of oxygen and useful substances in the body is more active.

What is useful replicator Kuznetsov?

Manufacturers in the indications for use write that the needle massager has the widest range of action. It relaxes the muscles, has an analgesic effect, has a positive effect on the nervous system, accelerates blood flow and metabolic processes, improves the condition of the skin, relieves headaches.

Most often it is used for problems with the musculoskeletal system, scoliosis, sciatica, osteochondrosis, curvature of the spine and for the treatment of flat feet. In reviews of people who regularly use the Kuznetsov applicator, it is said that it helps with diseases of the endocrine system and respiratory organs and even eliminates problems with the genitals and increases sexual desire.

But to claim that it is a panacea for all woes, it is definitely not necessary. Even the inventor of the applicator said that it is more prevention than cure. It is much more important to prevent an ailment than to treat it later. But if someone really with the help of such a massager solved health problems – great.

Varieties of needle massagers

Kuznetsov applicators come in four types of color and three types of shape. Green and red needle plates are less sharp, blue and yellow – vice versa. The green and red applicators are for sensitive skin, while the yellow and blue applicators are for intensive use. Some have magnetic inserts, which should enhance the effect.

In form, the applicators are mats, rollers and belts. Each of the massagers is designed for a specific area of the body. You can lie, stand or walk on the mats. Belts are worn with Velcro, and rollers are placed under the neck or under the feet.

By the way, today there are many variations of applicators, so do not be surprised if you see in stores quite different spikes or color schemes. Each of them has its own advantages, but it is the Kuznetsov applicator that served as a prototype for the creation of new versions of miracle mats.

Can the applicator cause harm?

Abuse sessions of massage on the Kuznetsov replicator should not be abused. You should not think that you will become a yogi with his help. It is important to read the instructions – it is provided with all sets. There are contraindications:
