6 exciting games for New Year’s celebrations in big (and not so big) company

New Year’s holidays are not an easy time. They are so long that you can have time to do anything two or even three times. At the moment when your ideas about how to survive one more day on vacation will end, board and active games that you can play with friends will come to the rescue. Time will fly by in no time.

Alexander Kapustin

event host, producer

I can say in the words of my colleague and friend Adiss Momota, who expressed the following thought: “It doesn’t really matter what kind of game or what you come up with. A game is just a way to interact with people, to talk to them, to socialize and to occupy time so that everyone has fun and enjoys themselves. Next, it all depends on the person running the game. If he conducted it dryly, it will go “in the furnace” and no one will remember it. And if the host did it with humor, developed as a kind of theme and did not give boredom, then the activity will be remembered and in general, any game will go in.

“Uno.”

If you are facing the task of interesting and fun to spend the evening, then you will need a company (relatives, colleagues or unfamiliar people), and also cards Uno. One of the main features of the game is its simple rules. Because of the direct contact between the players, the game is always new, fun and emotional.

The game is designed for both adults and children. And among other things, it is important that the game is very compact. A deck of cards will easily fit in your pocket, which means that it can be taken anywhere.

“Erudite”

One of the most famous games in the world is “Scrabble”, and in our country we have an analog in the form of the game “Erudite”. And it is worth saying that it is not inferior in popularity. In fact, the games have almost no differences, differing only in the number and cost of individual letters. For example, in “Erudite” for 25 chips letters more, which allows you to play a company of five, six people.

“Erudit” is a domestic game that never gets boring. The task is simple – using the available letters, you need to collect different words. The winner is the one who will score the most points. The complexity of the game depends on the ability to compose words, calculate the location of letters on the field and, of course, your tactical skills.

“What to do?”

The game can be referred to the category of those for which you do not need anything specific, which can be played anywhere, and also in any situation. To get started, you need to choose any item and take turns coming up with variations of what that item can do. Whoever can’t come up with a purpose or repeats the previous one, loses.

The game can last indefinitely, and the level of absurdity – grow to the sky, which will actually give positive emotions. The number of players is not limited.

“Alias.”

This game has many different variations. It is available not only physically, on cards, but also on your phone, which allows you to have it always at hand.

The rules: participants divide into teams and draw cards with words on them. One of the players from one team starts explaining the words written on the cards to his/her teammates. It is important to avoid using the same words. The faster the explanation, the more points the team gets and moves faster to the finish line. Whoever gets to the finish line first is the winner.

“Jenga”

“Jenga” is a board game, also known as “falling tower”. The meaning of the game is simple: a tower is built of wooden blocks, where each new “floor” changes the direction of the stacking of blocks. Players take turns carefully pulling out one bar at a time and placing it on top of the last “floor”.

Victory is awarded to the last player who can move a bar without collapsing the tower. Try to act carefully, concentrated and attentive. It’s also worth thinking ahead about exactly how to put the bar on top, it’s often more difficult than just pulling it out of the tower.

“Limbo

Widely known and popular fun all over the world. The game is great for all ages from small to large. “Limbo” is perfect for solving disputes in a large company, will reduce the degree of tension among those present and relax the atmosphere of the event. Since there is no limit on the number of participants, it will be more fun to play it in a large company.

It is worth thinking in advance where you will play and where it will not be hard to fall. As the finals approach, the participants will be required to use all the dexterity and flexibility they have. Otherwise, falling will not be avoided.

The rules are very simple: participants pass under the bar, trying not to hit it. You should pass with your feet forward and deflect your body backwards. The one who touches the bar is eliminated. After each round the bar is lowered by 5 cm. The winner is the one who can pass under the lowest bar without hitting it.
