According to the recipe, raw eggs were beaten into the viscous buckwheat porridge, then lay the mixture on a baking tray and baked.

How to cook buckwheat properly?

Cooking buckwheat is quite simple, but there are several important points that should be taken into account when cooking it.

  • First, the groats need to be picked over, so that there were no black grains in it.
  • Rinse the buckwheat well several times until the water is completely clear.
  • If you want perfect buckwheat and you have the time, dry it and roll it in a frying pan for five minutes. Then it will have a richer flavor.
  • When boiling, add cold water. It should be twice as much as the groats themselves.
  • Cook buckwheat for about 25 minutes on low heat with the lid closed. Do not forget to stir it constantly and make sure that the water does not evaporate – otherwise the buckwheat will burn.
  • When the porridge is cooked, add a little salt and, if desired, a little oil (you can add a little butter or an alternative, such as coconut oil or ghee oil).
