To say that you can sleep in an airplane at Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport hardly sounds appealing. But the thing is, this airplane is a hostel. And not just any hostel, but an incredibly atmospheric and comfortable place.

There are 33 rooms, some of which can even accommodate four people. Facilities like showers and toilets are located in the corridor. Some rooms also have their own toilets and showers.

But the most interesting is the cockpit room. From here you can get a breathtaking panoramic view of the airport.

If we talk about the rooms, they can accommodate from one to four people. The windows overlook the runway. The rooms are equipped in different ways: for example, quadruple rooms remind a compartment in the train, but this does not make the stay less comfortable. There is a TV set in each room. Thanks to it, you can also keep track of flight schedules. All guests have access to Wi-Fi.

The airplane also has a cafe and a bar.

You ask, how come the airplane became a hostel? The answer is that it was just flying out of the airplane. Boeing 747-212B made its last flight in 2002, and then it was put up for sale.

It would seem, who could need an aircraft manufactured in 1976, which can’t even fly anymore. But the buyer was found, and now travelers have a unique opportunity to live a day or two in the walls of the real plane and observe the life of the airport.
