Off-White™ has become a partner of FC Milan

“Devils” returned not only the championship title, but also the interest of global brands.

Rumors of an alliance between the two Italian brands have been circulating since the summer, but already today the players arrived at the upcoming Champions League group stage match against Chelsea in new stylish bombers.

The official partnership started expectedly brightly – the Italian club arrived at the stadium on a new branded bus with Players inside and brand logos.

The Italian club didn’t just introduce a new partner, AC Milan announced that Off-White™ becomes the official curator of the club’s style and culture.

Off-White designers will develop new uniforms for the men’s and women’s teams, producing suits for public events and away trips. The partnership will also include public events and special projects in support of Fondazione Milan, the soccer club’s charitable foundation.

Alongside the official announcement, the club also unveiled a teaser of the first piece of Off-White™ x AC Milan apparel. Already for the game against Chelsea, the Italian athletes will appear in suits with a red patch on the sleeves and the inscription “I support sport for change”.

“This partnership is an ambitious project involving two innovative and global brands. As a club, we have clearly defined principles. Cultural inclusivity and equality are at the heart of our business. That’s why we are proud to begin this journey with Off-White™. The new partnership is another testament to AC Milan’s ability to engage with the younger generation,” said club officials.

This collaboration is not just another collaboration from the worlds of fashion and sports. It is the union of two Milan stories. Off-White™ was founded in Milan, where it is still based. This is a very important detail that has become key for the two brands. Plus, the club’s contract with the current outfitter, who is responsible for off-field apparel, is about to expire.

Most importantly, this partnership has huge potential marketing power for the two brands. In addition to shared ideals, the companies share an international heritage and reach: Off-White™ is an American brand born in Italy and known around the world, AC Milan is an American-owned Italian soccer club with a global reputation.

For Off-White™, this deal is the first collaboration with a soccer team. The brand had previously produced soccer paraphernalia, but it was Virgil Abloh’s design fantasies that became the trademark.
