Warmth has finally arrived in Moscow, which means that it’s time to go out looking for interesting places where you can take beautiful and unusual shots for Instagram. We’ve made it a little easier for you and gathered seven atypical places for photo shoots in the capital.

House of Writers in Peredelkino

In the 30’s Stalin was offered to organize a place for rest for outstanding writers of that time. It was decided that the dacha settlement would be located in Peredelkino. Boris Pasternak, Bulat Okudzhava, Arseny Tarkovsky and Bella Akhmadulina lived and worked here. Not so long ago the House of Creativity was restored, now you can visit it.

There is a library with a reading room, a mesmerizing staircase, a place for literary meetings and concerts, a veranda with a beautiful view.

Entrance is free for everyone.

Savvinskoye podvorye

An inimitable example of pre-revolutionary architecture, which was built in 1907 according to the project of Ivan Kuznetsov. During the global reconstruction of Tverskaya Street, many buildings were demolished, but this one was decided to be preserved. In this place you can not only make wonderful shots, but also plunge into the atmosphere of St. Petersburg courtyard-wells.

Flea Market

The largest indoor flea market in Moscow, where you can find antiques and vintage of the USSR era. The store will take you back in time. This place is perfect for a stylized photo shoot of those times. Vinyl records, old radios, leather sofas and dishes from “grandmother’s sideboard”.

Melnikov House

The cylindrical-shaped building is a monument of the Russian avant-garde of the 1920s, erected according to the project of architect Konstantin Melnikov. The territory near the house is cozy, well-groomed and worthy of attention.
Entrance to the territory is free, but it is impossible to get into the house itself.

Library-reading room named after Turgenev. Turgenev

The first free public library in Moscow. It was founded in 1884 to immortalize the memory of Russian writer Ivan Turgenev. A wonderful place not only for reading lovers, music lovers and movie buffs, but also for those who want a thematic photo shoot.

H&M mirror staircase on Tverskaya Street

The house on the corner of Tverskaya Street and Strastnoy Boulevard was built according to the project of architect A. E. Weber in 1880. Since May 27, 2017, the first flagship of the Swedish store H&M is located there, which is spread over three floors. All three levels are connected by a wide spiral and fully mirrored staircase, which has already conquered lovers of beautiful pictures for their Instagram.

Painted coffee house

Unusual cafe where you can drink a cup of ordinary coffee and take a couple of interesting pictures.
The creator of this special space is Yoon-Jin Lee – a girl from Seoul. She was inspired by the TV series “W – Two Worlds” and wanted to create a design that is not only in Seoul, but also in the whole world.

She succeeded! Now these coffee shops are in Moscow and St. Petersburg. They are waiting for everyone every day without weekends from 10:00 to 20:00, on Friday and Saturday until 23:00.
