Full-body workout for two: spending Valentine’s Day in sports

Today is February 14, which is a great reason to workout with your significant other. Doing sports together will help you spend fun and productive time together.
We suggest trying a couples class. You will certainly be able to pump your body and get a boost of energy from your partner. But here’s the trick: the correctness and efficiency of your partner’s performance often depends on how you do the exercise.
Squats with jumping out
Tehnika:
- Back straight, knees and feet at pelvic width. Bend your arms at the elbows in front of you;
- perform a deep squat, keeping the back straight, at the bottom point the thigh should be parallel to the floor;
- from the bottom point on exhalation make an explosive jerk, straightening legs and jumping, arms at the moment of jump straightened along the body;
- descend on half-bent legs and immediately do a squat again.
Pair twists with hands touching the leg
Tehnika:
- Lie on your back opposite each other, straighten your arms and legs. Your feet should lie on the floor, alternating with your partner’s feet;
- with your lower back pressed in, hands above your head touching the floor;
- lift your right leg first, trying to touch your chest. The palms of the hands touch the feet;
- upward movement is done on exhalation, downward – on inhalation.
Do 2-3 approaches of 10-12 repetitions.
Pair hops from one foot to the other
Tehnika:
- stand opposite each other, lean forward and rest in the palms of each other’s hands;
- synchronously perform hops, alternating legs;
- if your partner performs a jump on the left leg, you, accordingly, perform it on the left leg as well;
- lift your hips as high as possible.
Do 2-3 approaches of 20-30 repetitions.
Pair squats
Tehnika:
- Stand opposite each other. Firmly grasp the left arm of the partner with the right hand and lean back;
- keep arms and back straight;
- perform a deep squat. Try to touch the floor with your free hand;
- stand up and change hands: now take the partner’s right hand with the left hand;
- make sure that during the squat the knee is above the foot.
Do 2-3 approaches for 10 repetitions.
Lifts of arms and legs lying on the stomach
Tehnika:
- lie on the stomach, with the top of the head stretched upward and forward, looking at the floor;
- pull your arms and legs off the floor. Lift alternately right leg and left arm, then left leg and right arm;
- buttocks tense, knees do not touch the floor.
Do 2-3 approaches of 20-30 repetitions.
Pair twists with clap
Tehnika:
- Lie on the floor opposite each other. Legs bent at the knees;
- the lower back is pressed, hands above the head touch the floor;
- raise the body up and touch the palms of the partner’s hands, making a clap;
- slowly lower back to the starting position.
Jumping Jack
Tehnika:
- stand up straight, legs together, straight arms joined above the head;
- on the inhale perform a jump and spread your legs wide apart, arms apart, slightly bent at the elbows;
- on exhalation return to the starting position and repeat this movement.
Do 2-3 sets of 20-30 repetitions.
