How to set yourself up for the year right and not burn out? Tips from a psychologist

On the eve of the New Year, everyone analyzes the past 365 days in one way or another – what has been done and what has not been done, what needs to be worked on, and what needs to be forgotten and not remembered. These thoughts push us to set new plans for the next year.

But it happens that burnout, apathy, laziness take over the set goals. How to fight it? Let’s find out together with a psychologist

In any case, where it is important not to overdo it, you need to realize at what point it can happen.

Very often people start to put a lot of expectations on some process. But sometimes a person can not objectively assess his strength, then there is an internal conflict.

To begin with, you need to understand and realize your goal – do you really need it? For example, if you like something, you will do it, and if some activity brings you only negative emotions, you will start to burn out more often and faster.

The hardest part is getting started. Consciously, a person is not willing to make more effort than they are used to in their own comfort zone. The probability of results equates to zero when we don’t activate our physical and intellectual abilities.

We need to learn to accept our past. Your mistakes, failures, ups, downs – all of it has benefited you. It is only because of this that you have become stronger. When you overcome another milestone, you realize that you did it yourself. That’s the motivation to move on in a new direction and conquer new heights.

There is nothing more important than believing in yourself. The more we believe in our success, the more effective its coefficient of efficiency, and this leads to successful transformation, achievement of goals and fulfillment of plans.

I would recommend allowing yourself to just be and observe how and what you want to do. Openly ask for help from loved ones if help is needed, help if you feel like helping, make someone happy if you feel like it, and ask someone to make you happy if you are very sad. We should learn to be open to what we want, and let this holiday be such a symbol of transition to something very important and meaningful.
