Turn up the volume! 10 best tracks to workout to

Sports require our full commitment, both physically and mentally. Sometimes we need extra motivation to complete a long jog or to do one more approach in a strength exercise. You can find it in music, because the right track will give you strength and energy.

Last week, the American magazine Time announced a list of 50 songs that are best suited for sports. The publication also published the opinion of the trend expert on Spotify, Shenon Cook, who believes that music really helps to catch the rhythm and set the pace of the workout.

About ten dynamic compositions that topped the foreign rating – in our selection.

1. “Till I Collapse”

Performed by: Eminem feat. Nate Dog.
Album: The Eminem Show, 2002.

According to Spotify users, the work of Marshall Mathers – that’s the performer’s name offstage – has been the most popular workout for four years. It motivates not only with an explosive beat, but also with lyrics. At the very beginning of the track, Eminem utters: “When you feel weak and want to give up, you have to look for your inner strength and find it.” Well, it looks like the rap guru’s admonition in his usual aggressive format really helps!

2. “Motivation”

Performed by: Normani.
Single, 2019.

This composition is not even a year old, but it took the second position of the rating. A simple song with an explosive beat does not bear such a name for nothing: it will serve as a good background for a workout in the gym. The singer Normani herself is also a dancer, so she demonstrates technicality in the video for “Motivation”, infecting energy through the screen.

3. “Eye of the Tiger”

Performed by: Survivor.
Album: Eye of the Tiger, 1982.

The kind of rock and roll from the 80’s that continues to inspire people to this day. The song was written by Survivor at the request of Sylvester Stallone for the movie “Rocky 3” about the shy but talented hero – boxer Rocky Balboa. The composition immediately rose to the top of the Billboard top and held the number one spot for six weeks.

7. “Dance Monkey”

Performed by: Tones and I.
Single, 2019.

In our opinion, Australian artist Tones and I’s song is less assertive, so it’s more suited for cardio workouts rather than hardcore strength training. And what is worth the video accompaniment… The main thing is not to fall off the treadmill or elliptical because of the laughs. The clip is at least original, though a little weird.

8. “Vossi Bop”

Performed by: Stormzy.
Single, 2019.

Classic hip-hop at first glance may seem a bit monotonous and not so energetic, but Stormzy’s sound somehow awakens the desire to listen to the track to the end. And, of course, to faithfully finish the exercise during the workout. Maybe you will be attracted to the composition precisely because of its stability and cool rhymes.

9. “Wake me up”

Performed by: Avicii.
Album: True, 2013.

In 2013 DJ Avicii surprisingly mixed country melody, rough vocals of soul singer Aloe Black and his own talent in creating EDM. And the result was “Wake me up”, a song that made it to the top 10 even seven years after its release.

10. “La Romana”

Performed by: Bad Bunny feat. El Alfa.
Album: X 100PRE, 2018.

For Christmas 2018, Bad Bunny from Puerto Rico decided to give fans a new album. The composition “La Romana” turned out to be the most explosive, and in the music video the artists even burned a red Ferrari. By the way, along with an unexpected transition in the middle of the song, when rapper El Alfa comes into play, you can change the pace of the workout.

In the ranking of the 50 most motivating tracks for sports you can also see the works of Imagine Dragons, Travis Scott, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish and many others.
