What happens to the body if you eat dairy products every day?

From childhood we are taught to love milk, because it is one of the most healthy products. It is difficult to argue with this, milk really does contain many components that have a positive effect on the body. But is it worth consuming it every day? What consequences can it lead to?

What are the usefulness of dairy products?

Dairy products play an important role for human health. Milk, kefir, cottage cheese – all these products contain valuable components, including proteins and amino acids. Milk protein is well digested by the body and is involved in the synthesis of hormones and enzymes. Many trace elements contained in milk protect children from thyroid diseases. Calcium and phosphorus help to quickly regenerate bone tissue and blood cells. And lactose is one of the best sources of energy.

In addition, milk has a bactericidal effect, reducing the impact of toxic substances on the body. However, it should be noted that pasteurized is not as useful as steamed. It is recommended to consume milk in the morning or evening, and you should not mix it with other food. But it is possible to add honey or dried fruit.

Kefir helps to strengthen immunity. It effectively fights kidney and liver problems, and also helps the body with gastritis and atherosclerosis. It is also recommended for sleep disorders – one glass of fermented milk product will help cope with insomnia.

Dairy products also include yogurt, but only they have useful properties, not yogurt products. Real yogurt is not subjected to heat treatment. It is useful for digestion in general, and for normalizing the gastrointestinal tract in particular.

What can be dangerous dairy products?

If you consume dairy products every day and in large quantities, regardless of the selected products – whether it is milk, kefir or cottage cheese – there is a risk of digestive problems – abdominal bloating, cramps and others. The body simply will not be able to digest a large amount of lactose, which is so rich in milk.

Negatively affects the skin

On this topic long argued, but experts still came to a consensus – with excessive use of kefir, ryazhenka and even cottage cheese arise dermatological diseases: eczema, acne and others.

Contributes to weight gain

The composition of milk includes different components. Some of them contain a lot of calories. Therefore, the consumption of products in large quantities often lead to overweight.

Increases the risk of cardiovascular disease

Another serious consequence of excessive milk consumption is an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. In this case, we are talking exclusively about milk and not about dairy products in general. However, if you drink it in moderate quantities, problems are not threatened.

Interestingly, some other dairy products, such as cheese, on the contrary, reduce the risk of heart disease.

Intolerance and allergies

In general, milk is a fairly allergenic product and is contraindicated for some people. Allergic people with lactose intolerance or sensitivity to the complex protein casein are most often affected.

Lactose intolerance occurs when the body does not produce enough enzymes to break down milk. But this, more often than not, also applies only to milk. And with the use of fermented milk products, as a rule, there are no problems.

However, allergy to milk manifests itself in another way. It can cause skin problems, vomiting and stomach pain. Many people do not realize that these symptoms are the result of a milk allergy. If you have a frequent runny nose for no apparent reason, or if you suffer from acne, try seeing a doctor. You may find that milk consumption may be the cause.

Nevertheless, do not be in a hurry and completely exclude dairy products from your diet. As noted nutritionist Oksana Lishchenko, the refusal of milk has negative consequences. In particular, it weakens immunity: probiotic bacteria, which are contained in fermented dairy products, increase the level of the body’s natural defense. In addition, probiotics are responsible for active intestinal peristalsis. Therefore, if you abandon them altogether, your metabolism may slow down, contributing to excess weight gain. Also in milk of animal origin contains vitamin D, which affects the absorption of calcium. In turn, the deficiency of this trace element makes bones more fragile and increases the risk of fractures and injuries.
