Especially for those who have not had time yet, and for all ice lovers we have prepared a selection of skating rinks in Moscow, where you can skate for free this winter.

Polar skating rink

Where is it located: Fili Park, 22 Bolshaya Filevskaya St., building 1.

The park itself is very picturesque, it is located in the west of Moscow, and in winter it is especially beautiful there. On the territory of this park there is a small skating rink. In addition to it, there is a skate rental and a cafe where you can drink tea. Pre-registration is not required, but the skating rink works by sessions: from 10:00 to 12:00, from 13:00 to 15:00, from 16:00 to 18:00, from 19:00 to 22:00. We advise you to come a little in advance.

Skating rink on Chistye Prudy

Where is located: Chistoprudny Boulevard.

This is one of the oldest skating rinks in Moscow, and it is located in its historical center. The ice there is natural, and its area is 12 thousand square meters. m. Pre-registration is not necessary, you can come to the skating rink at any time. All conveniences are created here for visitors: there is a separate zone for hockey players, there is a skate rental, and when it gets dark, the fairy tale begins. The rink is equipped with illumination, which will immediately immerse you in a cozy and warm atmosphere.

Skating rink in the park “Ostankino”

Where is located: VDNKh, c, 1st Ostankinskaya Street, 1s1.

The ice in the park “Ostankino” can also be visited for free, there is everything you need for comfortable skating: rental, skate sharpening and storage rooms, as well as a cafe where you can warm up. The only nuance – before you come, you need to register for a session. Fortunately, there are a lot of them here: from 10:00 to 12:00, from 13:00 to 15:00, from 16:00 to 18:00, from 19:00 to 22:00.

Skating rink on Patriarch’s Ponds

Where is located: 34 Malaya Bronnaya Street.

Another natural skating rink in our list, which opened after two years of downtime. This skating rink, like the Chistoprudny skating rink, is one of the oldest in the capital. Comfortable conditions have been created for visitors: there is a rental, a fast food point, and even a heated locker room. The skating rink is open from 12:00 to 22:00 without breaks, registration is not required. Its area is comparable to the skating rink at Chistye Ponds, so there is enough space for everyone.

Usadebny skating rink

Where is located: ter. Vorontsovsky Park, 3.

If you happen to visit this park, don’t forget to stop by the skating rink to make your walk a full-fledged experience. On weekdays it works on sessions until 22:00, on weekends – until 23:00. The only and the main disadvantage is indicated on the website: at a temperature of +3 the artificial skating rink may not work, so in relatively warm weather you will not be able to go skating.

“Druzhba Skating Rink”

Where is located: 22 A. Udaltsova Street.

Our rating is completed by the skating rink “Druzhba”, artificial, with an area of 1.8 thousand square meters in the Park of the 50th Anniversary of October. Conditions are good: skate rental and sharpening, storage rooms, you can even pay for skating lessons. The rink, like many others, works by sessions: from 10:00 to 12:00, from 13:00 to 15:00, from 17:00 to 20:00 and from 21:00 to 22:00. Pre-registration is not required.
