How useful is lard?

Lard contains a large amount of arachidonic acid (polyunsaturated fatty acid). It is necessary for the normal functioning of the brain, kidneys, liver, heart. In addition, this acid has a favorable effect on cholesterol metabolism. It is especially important for women, because it is involved in the synthesis of sex hormones. Therefore, lard should pay special attention to girls with reduced libido, menstrual disorders and infertility. Of course, this product is not a panacea and will not have a “magic” effect, but it can help normalize the hormonal background.

Lard also contains valuable fat-soluble vitamins: A, E, D and carotene.

Is cholesterol in lard so harmful?

The cholesterol contained in lard was once demonized, and for nothing, says the nutriciologist. Cholesterol itself is a resource for synthesizing hormones and vitamin D. With moderate use (about 20-30 g per day) lard will only benefit.
