“The First Glove” (1946)

Comedy about a novice boxer who dreams not about his career, but about marriage with his favorite girl, became the leader of hire in 1947. Cinemas were bursting with viewers – according to rough estimates, the film was watched by about 20 million people.
A simple Siberian guy Nikita Krutikov falls in love on the eve of a crucial match and is ready to give up his championship titles. Only to be with his beloved. Coach Ivan Privalov develops a whole plan to get his pupil back into the sport. By the way, the role of the champion of Moscow, with which in the final fight fights Nikita, played Anatoly Stepanov – USSR boxing champion in 1946 in the heavyweight.

“The Third Time” (1962)

“The Right to Jump” (1973)

The movie is based on the real story of the famous Olympic champion, Soviet jumper and record holder Valery Brumel. The legend of Soviet sports himself wrote the script for the picture. In 1965, Valery was in a terrible car accident – the champion was practically torn off the right foot. In those years, surgeons worked a miracle, they were able to piece together the ligaments and tendons and saved the leg from amputation. Within a year, Valery underwent 27 operations. And after another five months Brumel started training. Two months later, the athlete was able to take the height of 205 cm at international competitions! In the movie, according to the idea of the director, the hero was named Victor Motyl (Brumel did not want a direct reference to his own person).

“Footballer” (1990)

In her heart she gives up her career and regrets that she devoted so much time and effort to it. On the eve of the Olympics-80 in Moscow, Tanya and Megumi meet. This meeting changes the lives of both girls.

“Doll” (1988)

“Sporting Honor” (1951)

And the coach makes on the newcomer big bets in a responsible match with a foreign club. By the way, the comedy was very much disliked by critics and sports commentators. Those were dissatisfied with the behavior of the team captain and believed that the players would never act this way.
