Forever Young Grandma. Secrets of training after 40

Lesley Maxwell already has three grandchildren, and she still works out five times a week.

Grandmothers are most often associated with pies, knitting and a measured pace of life. But gradually, women who are used to age limits are realizing that they can do anything, and the number of years is not an obstacle. And we have a great example to follow – Lesley Maxwell, who at 63 looks half her age and spends her free time in the gym.

A new life after 40

It’s hard to believe, but Leslie didn’t start getting into sports until she was 48. At that time, she was going through a divorce from her husband. Exhausting workouts and hard physical exercises helped her to discharge all the anger that had accumulated in relation to the ex-spouse. And although before that Leslie worked as a makeup artist, sports was not indifferent to her.

I’ve always been interested in the topics of fitness and health. I was looking for ways to look and feel younger.

How do you stay in shape at retirement age?

Leslie not only got herself in great shape, but also became a professional fitness trainer. Until now, the woman has a strict sports regimen – five workouts a week lasting an hour. The main exercises are deadlifts, squats, abs and chest press. In addition, the Australian woman gave up junk food as much as possible. According to Leslie, now she feels much happier than in her youth, because she is proud of her body.

Maxwell has also developed her signature fitness program, “Bring Your Sexy Back,” designed for men and women over 40 who believe in themselves again.

All I’m saying is don’t wait and start taking action! I think every woman doesn’t want to part with her attractiveness.

Leslie often participates in sports competitions, on her account about 30 victories, including in bodybuilding competitions.

My mom told me that boys don’t like girls with muscles, but I know that they do!

Leslie is convinced that sport has a favorable effect on health and appearance at any age.
Not surprisingly, such changes in appearance positively affected her personal life. On Maxwell began to pay attention to men who are younger by a couple of decades. But the grandmother against attention from the opposite sex has nothing against attention from the opposite sex and is always happy to receive such compliments.

The body is a family affair

The athlete raises three grandchildren. One of them is a popular blogger with 100 thousand followers in Instagram. Tia at a young age followed in the footsteps of her grandmother: she spends a lot of time in the gym and often trains under the guidance of Leslie herself.

Basically, Tia’s tape consists of exercises and selfies from classes. But the real sensation was the video where the granddaughter and grandmother trained together, with the latter clearly surpassing her successor in some exercises.

Leslie also runs a blog on Instagram, where she often accompanies her photos with motivational statements.

Work on yourself now! Getting your sexiness back is possible!

Of course, you can’t get a body like Leslie’s right away – it’s the result of 15 years of hard work.
But the sooner you start, the sooner you will become the owners of the desired figure and cherished cubes.
