In theory, you can lose weight on doshirak if you know your calorie allowance, build a deficit, and structure your diet so that your body gets the right proteins, fats, and carbohydrates from the other foods you eat. But there are nuances.

A calorie deficit is the difference between calories expended and calories consumed per day. To reduce body weight, a deficit of about 200-500 kcal per day is usually established. That is, you should spend 200-500 kcal more per day than you consume with food. This is achieved by reducing caloric intake and increasing physical activity.

Is it possible to lose weight on doshirak?

One serving of doshirak contains ~500 kcal. The average calorie intake, for example, for women varies from 1200-2000 kcal, depending on height, weight, age, metabolism, BMI (body mass index) and mobility.

That is, to lose weight on doshirak, you need to take into account these 500 kcal in the diet and make a deficit, including healthy calories from other sources, but will such weight loss be correct from the point of view of a balanced diet? We take the situation of regular consumption of doshirak, and the answer here is “No”.

It is important to realize that doshirak is quite caloric and unhealthy product, in terms of nutrients. Doshirak is equal to 500 harmful calories. That is, there are no useful vitamins and minerals in it, it contains only empty and harmful calories.

Why is Doshirak harmful?

A potentially dangerous food additive used in the production of noodles is considered to be monosodium glutamate, which is both a flavor enhancer and a preservative.

According to numerous testimonies of scientists and doctors, the accumulation of this substance in the body is dangerous to health. The greatest harm of monosodium glutamate is for children, pregnant and lactating women and people in old age.

Quick noodles have a high glycemic index. This means that already 1-1.5 hours after lunch you will feel hunger and a sense of fatigue. A portion of doshirak is not able to satiate, as, for example, cereals and protein food, but rather, on the contrary, will provoke an extraordinary snack.

Palm oil in the product increases the level of “bad” cholesterol in the blood, which can cause strokes and heart attacks. The increased salt content in the product contributes to the retention of fluid in the body, provoking edema.

Thus, we can conclude that if you regularly eat doshirak, you can theoretically lose weight, but not without harm to health. Most likely, it will turn into poor health, a constant feeling of hunger, fatigue and the risk of disease. In addition, it depends on what else a person eats during the day and what kind of physical activity he or she does.
