Survival Instructions. How to get back in shape after the New Year holidays

It’s hard to believe, but the New Year holidays have come to an end. It’s time to take care of yourself and regain your physical shape after a continuous feast. Perhaps such a task will seem impossible to you, because some of us could barely overcome laziness to go to work. But every coming year is a new challenge and another chance to correct mistakes. That’s why we’re sharing a few workout life hacks that will help you get back on track.

Make a workout plan

Undoubtedly, regaining your regimen is a difficult task. It must be approached responsibly, so as not to bring harm to the body. Try to set yourself small goals every day: go to bed earlier, reduce the amount of caloric food, take a break from soap operas and spend more time in the fresh air. And before you go to the gym for the first time, make an exercise plan.

Don’t forget that it’s not safe to start abruptly with heavy workouts. Start small and gradually increase the pace of jogging or weights. The number of exercises and approaches in them should not be huge either. And, in general, a pre-determined program will help you focus.

Stock up on healthy foods

Refuse from fried and fatty food is much easier when there are fruits, vegetables and other products of proper nutrition in the refrigerator. Of course, New Year’s holidays are impossible without olivier, but it’s time to switch to a lighter diet. Your body will respond extremely positively to such a change.

To quickly change to a healthier diet, nutritionist and nutritionist Anna Berseneva recommends that you stop indulging in sweets and eat more fiber.

Anna: What is important to remember after getting into perfect shape after the holidays? More fiber, less sweets. The latter also applies to fruit. During the detox, berries and fruits with a low glycemic index are allowed in order not to provoke insulin spikes and, consequently, weight! During the detox we include citrus fruits (grapefruit, pomelo, oranges, tangerines), berries (cranberries, cranberries, cherries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries), plums, apricots and kiwi. You should try to eat them before 16:00. And one more thing: citrus zest is not thrown away. You can make a lot of interesting things from it.

Motivate yourself always and in everything

Perhaps after the holidays you have lost a little confidence in your abilities. It doesn’t really matter how many pounds you gained or how late you got up. Self-sabotage can lead to worse results, and proper recovery starts with confidence in yourself. Find a reason to get back to your normal pace of life. It could be a delicious and healthy breakfast after a good night’s sleep, a post-workout smoothie, or even new personal records. Set goals for yourself and strive to accomplish them. Don’t forget that as positive energy increases, so does strength.
