Step by step: how to make the right transition to a healthy lifestyle

Global plans – including weight loss – always want to be put off until tomorrow, Monday, or the new year. As in any business, in the case of a healthy lifestyle, the most difficult thing is to start. Many people have a hard time figuring out how to get started with healthy lifestyle: should they first make a training plan or adjust their diet? Is it possible to figure it out on your own or is it better to turn to specialists? Nutritionist and nutritionist Svetlana Bugela in a video on YouTube told about three seemingly simple steps to a better version of yourself.

Make a decision and take responsibility

The first thing to do is to make a conscious and serious decision. But what if you have already made up your mind? Isn’t the mere desire to lose weight or improve your health not enough? It seems that way at first glance. In fact, if you really made that decision, all the internal excuses and justifications would disappear by themselves. Tired at work? Don’t have time to figure out your BMR? Don’t have the energy to exercise? All of these are nothing but “walls” that you build yourself on the way to your goal.

This may seem strange to some, but you really have to make up your mind. If necessary, speak your decision or write it down on paper, fix it in your mind. Why do you want to switch to zoJ? To lose weight and feel more confident, to become healthier and live a longer and more active life – it doesn’t matter what your reason is. The key is to set your goal here and now – not on Monday, not after the new year, and not when the stars “align.”

Postponing the goal, as many people are accustomed to do, you only create an illusion and live in the future, instead of realizing what you want in the present. And with this approach, that “tomorrow” will never come.

Change your attitude towards everyday things

What can you do to make things easier on yourself? Concretize the goal! Imagine yourself at the end of the journey, slim, healthy, energetic. What does such a person do when he wakes up in the morning? How does his day go? Does he skip a workout if it’s raining outside? What does his breakfast look like? Try this approach to life on yourself. When faced with a problem, lack of motivation, or difficult choice, ask yourself: What would the best “me” do in this situation?

By switching to the perception of a “slim person”, you gradually become one yourself. A person’s behavior is largely determined by how he perceives himself. And this perception is subjective, and it can be changed. Even if at first you think you are faking it, a little time will pass and you will start to feel like a different person.

Accept possible failures, they are a stepping stone for growth

Many people live by the all-or-nothing principle and apply the same principle to zooge. If you train, then strictly according to the schedule, without missing a single session, and eat only in accordance with the plan, not allowing yourself to even look in the direction of chocolates and buns. So you only drive yourself into stress and provoke breakdowns.

Do not limit yourself rigidly, sometimes you need to take a break – you are not a robot. If you really want to eat pizza or your favorite cake, do not deny yourself, but build “harm” into your calorie. Take your breakdowns not as a mistake, but as a refueling and an opportunity to move forward. Let today you consciously ate a small piece of cake, but in a week you will not break down and eat a whole cake. Most importantly, don’t blame yourself. Enjoy that cheatmeal, satisfy your psychological need for a break, and get back into a healthy routine.

These three rules seem both simple and complex at the same time. Try following them for at least a week and you’ll notice a difference.
