What to watch? 6 good movies that give hope

In any confusing situation, watch a good movie. That’s the tactic we suggest you take tonight. Collected for you six cool movies about kindness, support and self-belief.

“Gifted” (2017)

A wonderful touching story about an able girl, whose future wants to determine adults.

The plot introduces us to seven-year-old Mary and her uncle Frank, who defends the right of his brilliant niece to a normal childhood. He remembers that the same outstanding talent ruined his sister, Mary’s mom.

The movie is full of touching family scenes and reflections on support and hyperbole. A great family movie and a reason to talk together.

“Heart of a Champion” (2018)

This movie is a story about friendship and healing. Young Mandy has lost her mom and works at a stable where she meets an injured horse who becomes her best friend.

The friendship makes the main character look at the world around her in a completely different way and find the strength to move towards her dreams and confront her fears.

The main characters are cynical journalist Lloyd Vogel and good-natured TV host Fred Rogers, who had contact in real life. The basis for the movie script was an article by Tom Junod (Lloyd Fogel’s prototype) “Can You Say… ‘Hero’?”, published on the pages of Esquire back in November 1998.

The meeting of these two people changes the lives of both. The movie will teach you the value of honesty and not to be afraid of inner change.

“An Ordinary Miracle” (1978).

Perhaps nothing grounds us like good old Soviet movies. We watched them as children, and now we turn them on to realize how much we have changed and how much the world around us has changed.

The movie directed by Mark Zakharov is a real good fairy tale for adults, which you just want to believe in. It is a kind of “fairy tale in reverse”, because a kiss in it does not get rid of the curse, but on the contrary – determines it.

“Pay the Other One” (2000)

Trevor and his classmates are given an assignment by their social studies teacher: to come up with a way to change the world for the better and try to realize their idea.

Trevor voices the idea of selflessly helping three strangers, each of whom, in turn, will also help three more strangers (“pass the good on”). In this case, the number of good deeds should increase exponentially. The seventh-grader begins to realize this idea.

It is interesting that after the release of the book, which was the basis of the movie, there was a real charity fund “Pay another”.

What to do if you are given a little more than others? Does talent mean so much, or is everything a matter of chance? What does art mean to a person? Such a light picture that answers such difficult questions.
