How the race is held

We have already written about the start of the race, but how will the time and distance be counted? Where to see your results? Are there any limits that you need to meet? If you have such questions, don’t worry, we do too. We’ve tracked down the answers and are ready to share all the information you need.

Let’s start with timing, it is done thanks to judges, video registration and timing system. So don’t even try to cheat the system, you should cover the distance honestly. Important point in this paragraph: if you want all the results to be accurate, the start number should be treated with care. To avoid breaking the chip that is sewn into the number, you should not bend the sheet, keep it near magnets or get it wet with water. Securely fasten the number to your chest before the start.

The results themselves will be sent to you within 10 hours by SMS, so it is important to specify the correct phone number in the questionnaire. Also, all data will appear on the website of the race no later than June 4, 2024.

As for the limits, of course there are limits, but you should not be afraid. All time limits are set with the calculation not only for professionals, but also for amateurs and beginners:

  • for the distance of 42.2 kilometers – 6 hours;
  • 21.1 km – 3 hours;
  • for 10 km – 1.5 hours;
  • 3 km – 30 minutes.

You don’t have to worry about dehydration and hunger either. Do not take anything extra with you, the organizers have already taken care of everything you need. The whole course is equipped with water and snack points.

Rewarding

Commemorative medals after the finish line will be given to all participants who overcame the distance within the time limit. The fastest runners will receive special awards on the main stage: the winners and runners-up will receive diplomas, cups and cash prizes.

The 42.2 km distance includes:

  • six prizes for men in each age group;
  • six prizes for women only among athletes of the “Elite” category in each age group.

For the distances of 10 km and 21.1 km are provided:

  • three prizes in the absolute championship. There are no awards for age categories.

Overcoming long distances, you surpass yourself, discover new things, become better. Running is not just a type of physical activity, it is a way to unload, take time for yourself, think about important things. So, maybe the Kazan Marathon is what you have been looking for so long?
