Summer in Moscow parks: skateboards, beach volleyball, drone festival

This summer’s most popular entertainment and festivals for the whole family that are worth visiting.

Moscow parks can be called the perfect place to spend a summer weekend. Shade from trees, flowering meadows, picnics by the water – just a picture from a romantic comedy. It remains to add a little fun. And they have already taken care of it for you. Every year in the parks of the capital dozens, if not hundreds of different festivals and bright sports events take place. We have collected our own mast-visit list for this summer.

Street point

When: June 29

Where: Sokolniki

What: street sports festival. Basketball freestyle competitions, street teams and entertainment program are waiting for the guests. Participation is free of charge. You can not only play yourself, but also come to cheer for your favorite team. Or just to get acquainted with new sports.

Trial #3

When: July 4-7

Where: in Gorky Park

What: festival of modern dance. The program includes mini-performances; unique techniques and methods at classes for professionals and for those who dance only at home. In addition, the guests will be given a lecture on topical issues that arise among spectators and performers of modern dance. It will be conducted by the founder of the project and the festival Alexander Mogilev, choreographer of the show “Dancing on TNT” and the winner of the project “Dance” on Channel One.

Crazy Squirrel Night Sprint

When: July 6 at 22:00

Where: in Izmailovsky Park

What: a night race with obstacles. The distance is 1 mile (1600 meters). In the park will be waiting for 20+ obstacles and professional photos from the track. Participation is paid, 1800-2000 rubles per person. Important condition – teams must be paired (male and female).

Where: in Sokolniki

What: beach volleyball competition. Participation for teams is paid, but everyone can come and watch the game. Good music and sports activities outside the venue are waiting for everyone.

Drone Racing

When: August 3

Where: in the park “Severnoe Tushino”.

What: park festival of drones. Guests will enjoy spectacular races, demonstrations, master classes for children and adults on control on a special training track. Drone racing is a very young, high-tech exciting sport. Anyone, regardless of age, gender and physical capabilities, can learn to drive racing “bolides”.

When: August 4

Where: in Sokolniki

What: traditional bike parade. This time the participants of the project will have to decorate their image in purple and lilac color, and decorate their bicycles with lavender flowers. You can feel yourself in the alluring France.

In addition, regardless of the time, you can always join the classes in the parks and, for example, learn a new transportation for yourself.

Skateboard

Lianozovsky Park will hold free classes not only in skateboarding but also in stunt scooter every weekend.
A 24-hour Vans skate park and skate school for kids and adults have opened in Gorky Park.

Rollerblades

In Izmailovsky Park adults and children learn to skate on Saturdays and Sundays.
In Gorky Park, a roller skating and scooter school for those over the age of three is open Monday through Friday until October.
