In late 2015, Cristiano Ronaldo bought himself a Gulfstream G200 private jet. The business jet from the Israeli concern Israel Aircraft Industries cost the Portuguese € 19 million. Even at the time it was not a new model, because the Gulfstream G200 was produced since 1999, but still very luxurious. We tell you what is special about it.

Interior equipment

The salon is lined with leather and trimmed with precious woods. There is a kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, closet, telephone, fax, internet and separate bathrooms for crew and passengers. There’s also a whole entertainment system, but Cristiano prefers to play the usual table basketball with his son, which many people can afford.

Impressive performance

The Gulfstream G200 jet flies at a speed of 900 kilometers per hour. With four passengers, it can cover up to 6,300 kilometers – this is more than from Moscow to Khabarovsk or to Congo. The maximum capacity is 10 people. When Ronaldo played for Real Madrid and received a call-up to the national team, he occasionally took his colleagues with him on flights: for example, teammate Pepe.

Uniqueness

Jets of this model are only 250 pieces in the world. But Ronaldo’s plane can’t be confused with others: it can be easily distinguished by the CR7 brand logo on the fuselage skin. There is also a silhouette of the Portuguese in his trademark pose, which he stands up in when celebrating goals.

Ronaldo’s plane once had an accident

In 2016, Cristiano’s high-speed jet had an accident. It happened in Barcelona, at the El Prat airport. During landing, the landing gear did not work properly and the craft skewed on its side. It sustained damage, but probably not critical. None of those on board were injured, and Ronaldo was not in the plane at the time.

Recently, the footballer is at home in Madeira, Portugal. Meanwhile, Juventus training resumes, and the club has already called on foreigners to return to Turin. However, a problem has been discovered here: Ronaldo’s business jet is stuck in Madrid due to flight restrictions. The striker should deal with this difficulty in the coming days.
