“To properly peel a mango at home, follow these steps.
Prepare the necessary tools and products:
- mango;
- knife;
- cutting board;
- spoon.
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Before starting the peeling process, wash the mango well under warm water to remove dirt and germs from the rind. You can also still rub the fruit with a brush.
2. Place the mango on a cutting board. It has a flat seed that runs vertically through it. The fruit should be cut along this seed.
The peel is not eaten as it may have pesticide residues and other harmful substances on its surface that can cause an allergic reaction.
Preliminary mango can be peeled by making a cross-shaped cut on the side where there is no tail. Then peel like a banana.
3- Carefully cut the mango along the seed, starting at the top and following its shape. This way you will get two large halves of the fruit.
4. Take one half of the mango and, using a knife or spoon, carefully cut the flesh from the peel by making shallow incisions along the peel and then peeling off the pulp. Be careful not to injure yourself.
5. Repeat this process with the other half of the mango.
6. Visually inspect the mango pulp for fragments of skin or seed. Make sure the pulp is free of them.
7. Prepare the mango for eating. Cut the mango flesh into cubes or strips to make it easier to eat. You can also add the fruit to salads, desserts or make juice.
