Who is required to be immunized against coronavirus?

By mid-July, 60% of working people in Moscow should be vaccinated.

In early June, Russia as a whole and Moscow in particular is experiencing a spike in COVID-19 disease. Doctors note the worsening of the epidemiological situation, and the authorities are once again tightening restrictions. Thus, in the capital the days from June 15 to June 19 are declared non-working days, and parks, cafes and restaurants will not work in the standard mode.

On Wednesday, June 16, published an official resolution of the chief state sanitary doctor for the city of Moscow Elena Andreeva. According to the document, some citizens will be obliged to be vaccinated against coronavirus until July 15.

Who will have to be vaccinated against coronavirus?

Employees of some spheres will have to be immunized. It does not matter whether the specialist works on the basis of a labor or civil law contract. The decree applies both to those who are members of an organization and to individual entrepreneurs.

Thus, in Moscow, employees are obliged to be vaccinated:

  • trade;
  • beauty salons, spa and massage parlors, etc..;
  • fitness clubs, swimming pools;
  • laundries, dry cleaners, etc.;
  • cafes, restaurants, bars;
  • bank branches, post offices, etc..;
  • MFC centers;
  • public transportation and cab services;
  • schools, universities, centers of additional education;
  • hospitals, social protection and social service centers;
  • housing and utilities departments, energy companies;
  • museums, exhibition halls, libraries, etc..;
  • theaters, cinemas, concert halls, entertainment centers;
  • children’s playrooms, summer camps;
  • state civil and municipal institutions.

Who may not be vaccinated?

The requirement to be vaccinated does not apply to those who have contraindications to preventive vaccination.

According to the “Procedure for vaccination with GAM-COVID-VAC vaccine against COVID-19 in the adult population”, the vaccination can be withheld in case of:

  • hypersensitivity to the components of the vaccine;
  • severe allergic reactions to vaccine components;
  • acute illnesses, exacerbation of chronic diseases;
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding period.
