Fitness clubs are open again. How to protect yourself in the gym?

Restrictions and measures in fitness clubs

We tell you what rules you need to follow to get to the training after the pandemic.

In Moscow from today fitness clubs finally open from today, which means that bored clients will head en masse to train in their favorite halls. Nevertheless, many people are not relaxed at all by the lifting of restrictions, but only frightened. They, like us, are asking questions: how will classes in the halls be held, whether it is possible to come to group trainings and how to protect themselves in this difficult period of the epidemic? Alexandra Gerasimova, founder and CEO of the FITMOST single subscription service, dispels all our doubts.

What requirements should clubs fulfill after opening to ensure safety?

The requirements are standard – follow the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor. They are the same for all studios.

According to the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, in order to reduce the number of visitors and to maintain the norm of space (4 square meters per person), it is necessary to use pre-registration. Sports equipment and exercise machines will be placed at a distance of at least 1.5 meters from each other.

It will be prohibited to sell any beverages to customers except bottled water.

Halls will be required to have a five-day supply of personal protective equipment for employees, as well as daily disinfection of all premises.

What rules should customers follow?

According to the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, visitors should maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters in common areas, reduce contacts based on the area of the halls, purchase only packaged food and drinks.

How to protect yourself at the training?

Now studios and clubs are a very safe place, exercise machines and equipment are treated constantly, recirculators contribute to air purification, staff work in masks. In comparison, on a playground or park bench, no one walks around after every visitor with antiseptic, and at a saikling or yoga class, the mat will necessarily be treated. If you compare a walk in the Patricks and a trip to the studio, the risk of getting infected at the class is less. Besides, people won’t go to sports if they don’t feel 100%, but to restore shape and physical activity to all those who sat on isolation for three months is necessary first of all for immunity.

Some studios and clubs have decided to start working gradually, not yet making a full schedule, but operating in a test mode to follow all the processes of implementation of recommendations.
