Humpty Dumpty: 5 ways to cook eggs

The borders are closed, but nobody has canceled the approaching summer. It’s time to get your body in shape without rushing and without harming your health. One of the most effective ways to lose weight and lean muscle is to eat more protein with a calorie deficit. Because of the ease of preparation, the breakfast favorite for many is eggs.

An article by American scientists, published in the Journal of the Biotechnology Information Science Center, confirms: the use of eggs during weight loss accelerates weight loss and provides the body with nutrients. We tell you about five ways to prepare eggs to make breakfast not only healthy, but also delicious.

Avocado Toast with Eggs

You only need five minutes and five ingredients: egg, grain bread, avocado, salt and pepper. To start, take the peeled half of the avocado. Using a fork, mash it to a mushy consistency, spread it on a slice of bread and add salt and pepper to taste.

Then place an oiled (or non-stick) skillet over medium heat and crack an egg into it. Cover with a lid. If you want the yolk to remain runny, turn off the skillet when the edges of the scrambled eggs are browned.

Hard-boiled eggs

If you’re a stickler for traditional cooking methods, this recipe is for you. Bring water in a saucepan to a boil, then gently place the shell eggs in there for 10-12 minutes. Once cooked, you can eat them in several variations: cut them in half and sprinkle with pepper, add them to a salad, or cut them into slices and make a sandwich with whatever ingredients you like, such as cheese, vegetables, or salmon.

Scramble

Another great option for a dish with egg. Spread it on a preheated and oiled skillet. The peculiarity of this option is to mix the protein and yolk. Depending on what consistency you prefer – dense or soft, the frying time is determined.

To achieve a soft consistency, keep an eye on the egg in the pan: the light should reflect in it. After cooking the scramble can be put on toast or wrapped in pita bread, or you can add greens and eat as an independent dish.

Omelet with vegetables and cheese

If fried seems too unhealthy for you, we offer a recipe in the oven. First, beat the eggs and cream in a bowl to a homogeneous consistency without foam, you can add a teaspoon of olive oil. Then chop vegetables to taste, such as cherry tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, onions and garlic. Fry the mixture in a pan until a rich color. You should add the tomatoes last so they don’t become mushy.

While you are cooking the vegetables, turn on the oven or grill to the highest possible temperature. Then mix the omelette mixture with the vegetables and place in the oven for 5 minutes. This is enough time for the center to stop being runny. Place the omelette on a plate and sprinkle with grated cheese.

Poached Egg

At first glance, making a poached egg may seem complicated, but the method is actually quite simple. Boil water, then turn down the heat until the bubbles disappear and add 1-2 spoons of vinegar. Stir the water to create a funnel. Carefully break the egg into it (if you’re not sure of your skills, you can break the egg beforehand into a bowl and pour it into the funnel). The egg white can be gently adjusted with a spoon.

Boil for no more than two minutes, then remove with a skimmer. A poached egg is perfect with salads and toast.
