There is a drop of human blood in the sole of the “devil” model from the American rapper.

In recent years, as much as designers can not be sophisticated to interest fashion lovers. This also applies to sneakers – an indispensable element of a modern closet. Today you can find a variety of different: from classic universal models to absolutely crazy, more like works of art than shoes.

Thus, American rapper Lil Nas X and the company MSCHF announced the release of exclusive sneakers with human blood in the sole, calling them Satan Shoes. What is the model actually made of and what other references does it hide?

What is the sole of the “Satan sneakers” made of?

“Satan’s sneakers” are decorated with a black and red pentagram. Designers assure that each sole contains a drop of human blood, but who became the “donor” is unknown. The limited edition model is based on Air Max 97, but Nike itself is not involved in the development.

A total of 666 pairs have been released – a number equal to the so-called number of the beast. The cost of one pair is $1,018 (77.3 thousand rubles). Even the price refers to the message from the Gospel of Luke – chapter 10, verse 18. It says, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning.” This is not the only reference: each pair is labeled “Luke 10:18”.

It is known that the sole of the sneakers contains 60 ml of red ink with a drop of human blood added. Who exactly became the donor, the designers did not specify.

The official release of the model will take place on March 29, 2021.

What other unusual sneakers did MSCHF create?

In 2019, the company released a collection of sneakers Jesus Shoes (English “Jesus sneakers”) – it was completely sold out in one minute.

“Jesus sneakers” cost 1,425 dollars (127.6 thousand rubles) per pair. Like “Satan’s sneakers”, the model was developed on the basis of the legendary Air Max 97.

In the transparent midsoles (the middle part of the sole between the insole and the tread) designers placed 60 ml of water from the Jordan River. And the “tongues” of the sneakers were decorated with a crucifix.
