But if you agree that you can not tolerate night hunger, then for a snack, most likely choose yogurt, cottage cheese or fruit. This is where the mistake lies.

If you eat cottage cheese at night, you stop the work of the strongest fat-burning hormone, which is released between 23:00 and 00:00 or between 00:00 and 01:00. It seems to be a useful low-calorie product, but any weight loss is out of the question. The same applies to fruit, porridge, yogurt, kefir, ryazhenka and other items with a high insulinemic index.

What can be eaten at night?

Meat

A piece of meat will be digested for about 7 hours, but at the same time it will saturate the body with amino acids that contribute to the action of somatotropic hormone. And the time does not play a role: you can eat a steak at 10 or 11 pm. Meat will not raise insulin levels, but it will stimulate the production of fat-burning hormone.

Of course, for many people it is a heavy meal. However, we do not recommend eating a whole steak. A couple of pieces of meat will be enough to satisfy your hunger. By the way, fish is also fine. If you are chasing low-calorie products, then take chicken or turkey.

Eggs

Eggs have a low insulinemic index, so they will not affect somatotropic hormone badly. They are a good source of protein and a nutritious snack. And to digest a hard-boiled egg, the body will spend more calories than it will get from it.

Vegetables

Vegetables are the best nighttime food. They contain almost no calories, but are rich in vitamins and nutrients. Give preference to raw vegetables, choose celery, carrots or beets. And if nibbling on greens by the refrigerator is not your way of life, then from the evening prepare, for example, zucchini fritters. This is a very simple, delicious and hearty snack.
