What is functional training

Functional training is a set of exercises to maintain the tone of all muscle groups and general physical development of the body. The main difference from other workouts is that muscles perform physiologically natural work. Functional training, thanks to intensive loads, develops strength and endurance, as well as effectively burns calories.

Functional training, as a rule, includes a set of simple but effective exercises for all muscle groups. Do not forget about nutrition. If you do not balance your diet, then even intensive training will not save you from extra pounds.

Exercises

Beginners are better to use the simplest exercises and a small number of exercises, gradually increasing the load and complicating the elements. Before training, you need to do a small warm-up to warm up the muscles and avoid injuries.

  1. Burpee (5 reps)
  2. Press (5 reps)
  3. Push-ups (5 reps)
  4. Squats (5 reps)

The exercises are performed consecutively without rest. After each lap you can rest for about 20 seconds.Perform 7-10 laps with maximum intensity. It will take you 15-20 minutes.

If you feel unwell during the workout (nausea or dizziness), stop, there is probably a lack of glucose in the blood. You can lie on your back and elevate your legs or put them on a hill to help you recover.
