The road to liberation. How a popular fitness blogger managed to achieve a perfect body

Almost all of us have complexes. Some of them are related to excessive modesty, while others are dissatisfied with their own bodies. Popular fitness blogger Tatyana Fedorishcheva, better known as Tanya TGYM, has faced both problems. At a certain time in her life she was afraid to look people in the eyes and was embarrassed by her reflection in the mirror. But thanks to a long work on herself the girl managed to cope with internal clamps and achieve a perfect figure.

How did Tanya TGYM get acquainted with sports?

At school age, Tanya was an ordinary teenager with a peculiar style of clothing. She lived in Nikolaev, a city in the south of Ukraine, and did not even think about her figure. According to the girl, at that time, when she was 13-15 years old, children were much less concerned about excess weight than now.

This was primarily due to the fact that in those days – my God, it was 10 years ago! – there was just no internet. I didn’t even have a cell phone. My teenage mind was not cluttered with stereotypes, imposed figure ideals.

In her teenage years, Tanya was a slim, but very unathletic girl. In her words, “just oaky, like a log.” And physical education was the only subject that the schoolgirl constantly skipped. Along with the tightness of the body, the girl was worried about excessive shyness. Tanya could not imagine without fear how to perform on stage in front of her classmates.

After graduation, the blogger wanted to study yacht design at the local university, but was not selected for the budget. And to study on a paid basis was not possible. So Tanya went to work as a waitress in a cafe. She clearly remembered that almost all the staff smoked and drank in the bar, and the girls-workers were overweight. Then the blogger seriously thought about starting to change something in herself and not to allow such a lifestyle as that of her colleagues. Tanya became interested in proper nutrition and exercise, but not seriously.

I remember that in the doorway of this cafe I was just standing on a step and pumping my calves (laughs).

One day the couple went to Dima’s parents’ dacha. The guy photographed the girl in a swimsuit when she was sitting on the side of the pool. The shot turned out to be a landmark for Tanya. Yes, and the young man neatly hinted to the beloved on some flaws of her figure.

The first thing that came into Tanya’s head was to try a diet on apples and kefir, in which the girl was soon disappointed. She began to train at home with dumbbells: perform squats and inclines. At the same time, the blogger became even more complex. She was afraid of herself and tried not to look people in the eyes. To get rid of a serious problem, Tanya went to a modern dance studio. At first the girl felt uncomfortable, but then she made friends with peers and loosened up.

Only after that the blogger seriously approached the issue of training. She began to study the correct technique of exercises, adjust nutrition together with her future husband and understand the importance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Tanya realized that she could achieve great results at home and created a YouTube channel to share her experience with others.

Over time, Tanya felt that home exercise wasn’t enough for her. Therefore, she and her husband decided to go to the gym. There she learned that it is possible not only to lose weight, but also to build muscle mass by using supplements.

Tanya’s example tells us that sometimes not only excess weight, but also serious psychological problems can become an obstacle on the way to an ideal body. But with a great desire we are able to cope with all the difficulties and obstacles. The main thing is to try to be better for yourself and for yourself.

I compete only with myself, with yesterday’s me. Every day I try to do something better, faster, better than yesterday. And I advise you to compete only with your reflection in the mirror.
