My name is Tatiana and now I work as a fitness trainer and organize fitness marathons. Now my weight is 53 kg with a height of 162 cm. At the moment I help girls and guys to lose weight, to bring the body into a beautiful shape – not just for the summer, but to make it applicable in life. But it was not always like that.

Tatyana Stukovnina tells how she managed to lose weight and become a fitness trainer.
It all started with an ordinary argument
All my life I was a fat girl, and in my school years I had a lot of complexes. When I was 27 years old, I found out that there would be an anniversary reunion of classmates at my school after 10 years. Like many girls, I decided to lose weight for the event, but I only had seven days to do it. My ex-husband, who had been in the fitness game for a long time at that point, offered to help me get ready.
We made a bet that if I could get rid of six centimeters in the belly area, we would go on vacation. And if not, he would shave my head.
That was a really cool motivation for me. I started going to the gym, doing cardio and strength exercises. And, of course, I had to change my diet. In the end, I managed to get rid of only five centimeters in a week, not enough just a little bit.
I was very upset then, because I was aiming for more. My husband calmed me down and said: “What are you doing? You’re doing great. You’re doing great.” So, despite obviously losing the argument, my hair didn’t change.
I went to a class reunion, and afterwards I decided to keep going and continue what I had started. I stuck to the same plan as the last seven days. After 2.5 months, the result was already very noticeable.
Since our city is small, people found out about me, started writing, meeting me and saying: “Tanya, how did you do it?”.
I thought, why don’t I start helping people? I got the idea to gather girls and train them. I managed to recruit five girls with whom I did the same things I did with myself. Within a month of us working out together, they had lost a good amount of weight and gotten fit. We even organized a kind of graduation – a photo shoot to celebrate the success.
Years later, as a coach, I started to launch bigger projects, and now they have gained scale.
For me, controversy is the best motivation
I must say that I used to go to the gym before. Or rather, I went or didn’t go. I ate as I wanted, I could get full, that’s why there was no result. The argument became a kind of kick and motivation. I’m just that kind of person – it’s easier for me to argue and then I will definitely do it. When there is a responsibility to someone – for me it is 100% motivation.
He gave me specific tasks and clearly told me what to do. He told me which circuit to do cardio on, how to do this or that exercise to maximize my sweat. He advised me during strength training and controlled me in the nutrition process.
When you prepare for a start, you are very disciplined. You fundamentally don’t care who and what you eat in front of you, pizza or dumplings, for example. The hardest part is when the competition is over.
You realize you can do anything now. You start eating, and it’s very hard to stop.
After the performance, of course, there were crises. During rest you start to get full, your body is on hypercompensation, when you quickly gain weight. You can gain 10 kilograms very quickly and not even notice.
I worked on such “episodes” psychologically for a very long time. I went through marathons and trainings to understand myself better. For more than a year now I am in balance and there are no crises.
I can afford to eat the way I want to eat
Now I try to stick to a proper diet, but not as much as I did when I was working with my coach and preparing for competitions, because there is a constant counting of BGU (proteins, fats, carbohydrates). I used to send my coach a picture of what I was eating every day.
I have the same calories and the same BGU, which we sometimes change, depending on the necessary sports tests. It’s such a more serious approach than just working out. Now I realize how much I eat, and if I want to eat butter dumplings, I will, and then I’ll go back to my normal diet.
It took me a long time to get to this point.
I used to have “swings”, I used to overeat, or vice versa – I was on a strict diet. Now I have come to the point where I can afford to eat as I want. I can go over my daily calorie intake, but then come back and continue eating the right food.
