May the power be with you: How I took up energetic fitness and started to do everything on time

The amount of inner resources directly depends on what we eat, how we move and what we think about. Everything important starts from the moment we wake up. If you make the most of your morning, you will have enough energy for the whole day. The bonus will be excellent health and guaranteed realization of plans.

I decided to try to consciously utilize the resources of my body, brain, time of day and food. Within a month, my energy level increased several times over. I became calmer and more productive. So what exactly do I need to do to repeat this experiment and get the same results?

1. Thoughts upon waking up

The first thing that comes to mind when we wake up programs our brain for the entire day.

Analyze what you are thinking about. It used to be that with the ringing of the alarm clock, I would hear something inside me like, “I have no energy. I’m so tired! I’ll sleep a little more. Why do I need this sport/work thing.” And that’s exactly how the whole day that followed went. There was no energy, the fatigue was crushing me. I felt an acute dislike for what I was doing.

After tracking my morning thoughts, I created a method to do the opposite – programming myself for an energetic, awake day. I started telling myself, “Today is going to be a great day for me. I have a lot of energy. I’m going to be as productive as possible.”

The brain perceived these thoughts as a command and setting. And here’s the interesting thing – that’s exactly how my day went then. I continued practicing and the results were similar. Plans started to materialize and fatigue didn’t get any worse.

2. Morning calisthenics

Yes, you want to jump under a warm blanket, but instead you have to pull yourself out from under it and get active. It is difficult to decide, but this state lasts exactly for the first five minutes. Then the body starts to awaken and even enjoys the light physical activity.

My favorite practices are joint exercises and smooth rotation of different parts of the body. How is it done and why is it needed?

First – circular movements of the pelvis in the form of a figure eight. Then – synchronized multidirectional rotations of the arm and leg: the leg to the left, and the arm to the right. And vice versa. This is how the left and right hemispheres of the brain are activated. It may not work the first time, but then it will get better.

My spine says thank you for slow forward bends with stretching and feeling of each vertebra. My soul is happy with the yoga complex “Greetings to the Sun”.

10-15 minutes of physical activity in the morning works wonders. The body becomes more flexible and taut. I can’t imagine my life without morning warm-ups. I do them while traveling, on vacation and at home.

What kind of joint exercises should I choose? You can use Mirzakarim Norbekov’s methodology . Look for detailed instructions HERE.

3. energizing breakfast

I used to love eating granola with milk and snacking on chocolate. I also used to drink coffee and eat croissants. Now my favorite breakfast is scrambled eggs with veggies, a cup of coffee and fruit. It’s energizing.

Ideally, fruits and vegetables should be seasonal. They have more vitamins and flavor. There is a maximum balance of carbohydrates, proteins and nutrients. If you start the day with sweets, you will crave them all day long. A healthy breakfast lays down healthy habits for the day. Cravings for flour, carbohydrates and junk food are reduced.

4. Plánovanie

I didn’t get into it right away. For a long time there was an inner protest. I wanted to improvise and feel freedom. However, it was a hard test for my brain, as it had to retain all the information. Alas, I often didn’t have enough RAM for great things.

Then I just decided to give it a try and started writing down plans for a month, a week, a day. My efficiency increased many times over.

Many people prefer to be in the flow and don’t do any planning. Thinking, “Let things go as they come. When the time is right, I’ll feel it.” However, as practice has shown, the time never comes…..

What is not planned does not exist for our brain. No fixation, no intention. No intention – no action. It’s like going to the grocery store without checking what you’re missing at home and making a list of what you need. Chances are you’ll buy something situational rather than what you really need. That particular pie will never get baked because you didn’t grab the flour. It wasn’t on the list….

5. Gratitude Diary

This is a powerful tool to boost your energy level and mood. A way to establish an energy exchange with the world. The Universe gives us good things: health, food, clothes, work, a roof over our heads, gifts, opportunities, meetings, invitations. It is important to thank the world for its generosity and to return energy to it in the form of simple words of appreciation.

Verbally, it is similar to a prayer. We give thanks for what we have now and what will be given. In writing, it is like a journal of kind words.

The more we give thanks, the more energy is returned. And that means an increase in the number of new opportunities that will come into our lives. Think of a person who sincerely thanks you. And the person who is dissatisfied with everything or takes everything for granted. Which one of them will you want to give something to again? That’s how it works.

I keep a gratitude journal in the evenings. It calms the mind, fills me with inspiration and calm energy. And it also prepares you for the relaxing sleep you need for an invigorating day.

Come to work and don’t feel like doing anything? Is it just the thought of a bonus that can tear you away from social media and weekend plans? Read about how to deal with it HERE.
