A girl returns home from a business trip, where her husband and children are waiting for her. However, the return is spoiled by a serious cold, which suddenly develops into a fever and ends in death. Her husband cannot believe that an ordinary cold ended in tragedy and demands an explanation from the doctors. An autopsy reveals a shocking change in the internal tissues. The doctors are in a panic, they’ve never seen anything like this before. A deadly virus can harm a large part of the world’s population in a short time.

The task is to quickly identify the source of infection, assess the rate of spread of the virus and develop a vaccine. The government for some reason does not tell the population all the details of what is happening, deliberately withholding the facts. “The truth was hidden from us,” says one of the characters in the movie. It seems that the top leadership is running its own game and is only interested in its own profit…

“Epidemic”

Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman, Rene Russo – a brilliant cast took part in another disaster movie. This time America is under threat. From Africa, smugglers brought an infected monkey that bit a man. He is now a carrier of a deadly virus. No one realizes how quickly the virus can spread. There is no chance of a cure without a vaccine.

The government sets up a task force and discovers that in order to save the population it is necessary to find this monkey as soon as possible to develop antibodies for a vaccine. However, it turns out that the monkey has run away to an unknown destination. There are only a few hours left to save the people.

“I Am Legend

Year of release: 2007

Perhaps one of the most famous movies about the apocalypse. The movie is based on the classic novel by Richard Matheson. It is said that an attempt to screen the novel was made in the 90s, and the main role was to be played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. But it turned out in the 2000s. The disease jeopardizes the life not only of this city, but also of the whole country and the planet. In order to cope with the virus, the government with the help of military equipment is forced to completely close the city for quarantine.

“The Apparition”

An excellent Soviet movie with a maximally topical title. In the institute of epidemiology they conducted a scientific experiment, during which something went wrong. Everything ended in an accident, because of which there was a threat of spreading a deadly virus. Employees of the scientific center could not allow this, so all employees were closed for strict quarantine. Because of total isolation, a big scandal was brewing inside the team.
