It is believed that New Year’s Eve is a family holiday, but everyone celebrates it in their own way. Someone really prefers to spend this time with family and necessarily with observance of all family traditions: a big Christmas tree, olivier on a special grandmother’s recipe and presents not earlier than the morning of January 1. Others, in the midst of winter, seek to escape from the cold (or rain) closer to the sea and the sun, and for some even New Year’s Eve is not an excuse to take a day off work. We tell you how famous athletes greeted 2020, and with it the new decade.

The captain of Zenit St. Petersburg and the Russian national soccer team is a family man. He welcomed the year 2020 at home with his family and friends. All the guests gathered at a large festive table and took a joint photo in funny hats with rat faces – the symbol of the coming year.

The Washington Capitals forward also celebrated the New Year with his family. In his Instagram he published a photo with his wife Anastasia and two-year-old son Sergei against the backdrop of the Christmas tree. From all their family Ovechkins wished subscribers health, love and success in 2020.
