10 Days on the Move: Quiksilver New Star Camp Schedule

Spletna stran Quiksilver New Star Camp sports and music festival is unimaginable without riding in the perfect and largest park, impressive top-level competitions and outrageous shows. Breathtaking flights on snowmobiles and motorcycles, tricks on snowboards and skis from the best riders of the country, running, yoga and fitness training will be held from March 30 to April 8 at the mountain resort Rosa Khutor in Sochi.

April 1 – Quiksilver New Star Invitational by Tinkoff

On April 1, the competition program will be opened by the most extreme contest Quiksilver New Star Invitational by Tinkoff. A grandiose springboard with a span of more than 20 meters will be waiting for all the madmen who dare to storm it with maximum confidence in their abilities. The strongest Russian snowboarders and skiers, as well as invited world stars will take part in the competition. The contest program will include two qualification stages and the final race, where each participant will have to demonstrate the technique and style of performing tricks. Following the results of qualification, the judges will determine the finalists who will compete for the main prize fund of 100 thousand rubles!

April 2 – MegaFon Speedtest Race

On April 2 snowboarders will be united by MegaFon Speedtest Race competitions in the “benched slalom” discipline for all comers. Traditions of the first snowboard competitions in the history of mankind are sacredly honored at Quiksilver New Star Camp. The Benked Slalom is a return to the origins of snowboarding, when riders competed for speed by racing down ravines. Now everyone has the opportunity to get back to their roots and compete for speed on two profiled runs with contraclones. The winner of the contest will be the participant who will show the highest speed, win all the heats and come to the finish line first. You will be able to watch the live broadcast of the competition on your gadgets on MegaFon TV.

April 3 – Red Bull Roll The Dice

On April 3, the most exciting contest Red Bull Roll The Dice is waiting for all guests of the camp, which will bring together the strongest snowboarders of the country. The conditions of the unique concept of the competition are very simple: riders throw giant dice from the mountain, on which the components of the trick fall out. The faces of one dice show the grabs, the other – degrees of rotation. Each of the participants has to repeat the trick. The game is an elimination game: the one who most clearly and stylishly performs the next task passes to the next stage. In the final two strongest are left, the winner is determined by the results of three attempts. Live broadcast of the competition will be held with the support of Toyota.

April 4 – Roxy Day and Efes Ollie Contest

On this day girls will have a place to turn around, because everything will be organized especially for them: fun activities in the chill-out zone, dance battle and, of course, flowers for all participants. This has always been, is and will be the most positive day of the whole festival. For guys on this day there is a special contest – Efes Ollie Contest. The main task is to jump the bar on a snowboard. The one who will take the highest point wins and gets a pleasant surprise from the summer partner of the festival.

April 5 – Toyota Road Show

April 5 will be a day of roaring engines and incredible stunts. The final of the grandiose Toyota Road Show will take place at an altitude of 1100 meters. Automotive partner of the festival Toyota will present the most exciting and beautiful show, launching into the sky the strongest riders on motorcycles and snowmobiles and at the same time snowboarders worthy of no less attention. At Quiksilver New Star Camp Toyota will not only be responsible for the spectacle, but will provide powerful and cool cars for the athletes to move freely around the festival grounds.

April 6 – DC Shred Games

April 6 is a day of snowboarding fans and fun, as everyone will be able to participate in the legendary DC Shred Games by Nokia phones. “Shred” in snowboarding parlance means fun riding for fun, and this whole day will be about that. The funniest tasks, the weirdest tricks, the most unconventional judging and imagination at full throttle. The winners will be those for whom snowboarding is fun and inspiration, but for the fun riding the guys will get serious prizes – new Nokia smartphones!

April 7 – JBL Push The Button

Riders will fly off the pyramid in front of a telescopic ruler with a button and try to touch it with a snowboard. The rules are simple: the one who jumps out the highest wins. Each athlete will have 4-5 stages to win. At each stage the height increases. In the final jumps, riders will compete for the best trick combined with a high jump and simultaneous button press! The main judge of the competition will be Sonya Fedorova – the leading snowboarder of Russia, JBL brand ambassador and Roxy Russia rider. Get ready, because even if participation is not in your plans, the mere sight of high flying boards will tickle your nerves.
