What popular dishes from movies, cartoons and books can be called healthy? How to cook them?

Probably everyone at least once in his life wanted to feel like a hero of the movie universe. You can do this by trying the favorite food of famous characters.

Even in the world of movies and books, healthy dishes are popular.

Preheat the oven and place carrots, celery, onion, garlic and thyme on a baking tray. Fill with water. Wash the turkey and pat dry with paper towels. Brush with olive oil, salt and pepper to taste. Place the bird on top of the vegetables (feet up).

Bake the turkey for about an hour at 200 degrees. Control the heat, and if your oven is very “hot”, make the degree lower. After an hour, take out the dish and again smear with oil, salt and pepper. Put back in the oven for another 50 minutes. Take it out and check the degree of readiness with a fork.

Herb and leaf salad from “The Hobbit”.

Hobbits knew a lot about healthy nutrition, and that’s why their meals always included salads and herbs. They strengthen the immune system, reduce cholesterol, cleanse the blood of toxins, speed up metabolism and have a positive effect on eyesight.

Potrebovali boste:

  • salad leaves (iceberg, lettuce, romano, mesclun, spinach, etc.) – the more variety, the healthier;
  • mustard in the grains – 2 tsp;
  • radish – 10-12 pcs;
  • cucumber – 2 pcs;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.

Boil eggs hard-boiled. Mix all the salad leaves in a bowl. Add mustard, sliced radish and cucumbers. Cool and finely chop the eggs and mix with the salad. You can add one tablespoon of olive oil.

By the way, this dish will be well combined with turkey from “Harry Potter”.

Ratatouille from “Ratatouille.”

In the cartoon, a rat chef named Remy cooks ratatouille as a work of art. And not for nothing – because in its composition this is a unique dish. At the same time quite inexpensive, because it includes simple vegetables: onions, peppers, tomatoes, zucchini and zucchini. Thanks to this dish, the body will get the necessary vitamins B, K and P, as well as useful substances: copper, manganese, calcium, iron.

Potrebovali boste:

  • zucchini – 1 pc;
  • eggplant – 1 pc;
  • tomatoes – 3 pcs;
  • onions – 1/2 pc;
  • red bell pepper – 1 piece;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • thyme – 1 sprig;
  • pureed tomatoes – 200 ml;
  • salt and black pepper to taste.

Cut bell peppers in half, bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes until soft. Cover with foil. Peel and dice the peppers. In a saucepan fry garlic and onion cut into slices for 10 minutes. Add grated tomatoes, a sprig of thyme, salt and pepper. Stew over low heat for 10-15 minutes.

Pour the resulting mixture into the mold in which we will bake ratatouille. Cut the vegetables into circles. Put them on the bottom of the mold, alternating by color. In a blender, whisk garlic and olive oil. Pour this mixture over the vegetables, salt, pepper and cover with foil. Stew in the oven for two hours at 150 degrees.

After two hours, remove the foil and leave in the oven for another 30 minutes at 180 degrees.

Chop the onion finely, fry in a frying pan until golden. Mix the mince and the rest of the ingredients, form them into small meatballs. Fry in a frying pan for 10 minutes.

Mix the ingredients for the sauce in a blender, adding the stock, flour and cream. Pour the meatballs with the resulting sauce and braise for another 10 minutes. Done!

Onion soup from Bridget Jones’s Diary.

Onion soup may not be so popular in our country, but nevertheless its composition is extremely useful for the body. First, it contains vitamins A, E and C. Secondly, it has a lot of iron. Thirdly, it has a positive effect on the blood, improving its quality and preventing anemia. In the movie, Bridget gets a blue colored soup, but the original recipe will, of course, be green.

Potrebovali boste:

  • leeks – 1 kg;
  • green onions – 1 bundle;
  • potatoes – 1 pc;
  • olive oil – 1 tbsp;
  • croutons – 200 g;
  • sol in poper po okusu.

Cut potatoes into cubes, and leeks – small slices and pour a liter of water. Cook for about 40-45 minutes until tender. Salt and pepper. Cool the soup and use a blender to puree it. Pour into plates and add croutons on top. Done!
