Snacks from yams and apples
1. Fried yams with apples
Sestavine
- yam – 2 pcs;
- apple – 2 pcs;
- olive oil – 2 tbsp;
- pepper – to taste;
- salt – to taste.
Priprava
- First, wash the yams.
- Cut it into thin circles (like potatoes).
- Send the root vegetable to a heated frying pan with a little olive oil.
- Fry the yams until golden.
- Cut the apples into thin slices. Important: fry them in the same pan where the yams were cooked until soft.
- Sprinkle with pepper and salt to taste.

2. Salad with yams and apples
Sestavine
- yam – 2 pcs;
- apple – 2 pcs;
- olive oil – 2 tbsp;
- lemon juice – 1 tbsp;
- salt – to taste;
- fresh herbs – to taste.
Priprava
- First, wash and clean the yams.
- The second step is to cut the root vegetable into cubes of medium size.
- Boil it in salted water until soft.
- Cut apples into thin slices.
- Combine cooled yams and chopped apples.
- Season with lemon juice and olive oil.
- Garnish with fresh herbs.
3. Yams and apples porridge
Sestavine
- yam – 1 piece;
- apple – 2 pcs;
- milk (optional) – 100 g;
- cinnamon – to taste;
- honey – to taste;
- nuts – 10 g.
Priprava
- First wash and clean the yams.
- Cut the root vegetable and apples into medium-sized pieces.
- Cook on low heat with apples until soft.
- Add more water (or milk) to make a porridge.
- Season with a pinch of cinnamon and honey to taste.
- Garnish the dish with nuts.
4- Crispy yam and apple potato chips
Sestavine
- yam – 1 pcs;
- apple – 1 pc;
- sea salt – to taste;
- vinegar – to taste.
Priprava
- First wash the yams.
- Cut the root vegetable and apples into thin slices with a sharp knife.
- Place on a baking tray and bake in the oven until golden crust.
- Before serving, sprinkle with sea salt and vinegar.

Hummus and carrot snacks
5. Carrot and hummus rolls
Sestavine
- carrots (large) – 1 pc;
- hummus – 50 g;
- fresh herbs – to taste.
Priprava
- You need to prepare carrots: wash and peel.
- Then cut the root vegetable into thin plates. It is better to use a vegetable peeler for this.
- Thinly spread hummus on each strip of carrots.
- Roll into rolls and secure them with a toothpick.
- You can decorate with fresh herbs.
6. Carrot and hummus salad
Sestavine
- carrots (large) – 1 pc;
- hummus – 100 g;
- lemon juice – 1 tbsp;
- olive oil – 2 tbsp;
- fresh herbs – to taste.
Priprava
- Wash and peel carrots.
- Take a large grater and rub the root vegetable.
- Mix the grated carrots with hummus.
- For dressing we need lemon juice and olive oil.
- Add fresh herbs to taste.
7. Carrot and hummus balls
Sestavine
- carrots (large) – 1 pc;
- hummus – 100 g;
- fresh herbs – to taste.
Priprava
- Wash and peel the carrots.
- On a fine grater rub the root vegetable.
- Mix in a blender carrots and hummus to a homogeneous mass.
- From the resulting mass it is necessary to form balls.
- Finely chop the greens and roll the balls in it.
8. Carrot and hummus cocktail
Sestavine
- carrots (large) – 1 pc;
- hummus – 100 g;
- honey – to taste;
- ginger – to taste.
Priprava
- Wash and peel carrots.
- Cut the root vegetable into pieces and send it to the blender.
- Blend in the blender carrots with hummus and ice to a homogeneous consistency.
