Vrnite mi leto 2007. Kako so bili videti ruski športniki v devetdesetih letih prejšnjega stoletja

Sometimes it seems that the era of the noughties was quite recent, and 2007 was only a few years ago. But time flies at an amazing speed, and with it the representatives of Russian sport change: current and former athletes, their spouses, ambassadors of brands and major events. Let’s remember how these people used to look like and what has changed in their lives since then.

Fyodor Smolov

13 years ago Smolov lived pretty much the same way: soccer, social events and endless parties. Except that his bangs were longer. And seriously, it was in 2007 that Fedor made his debut in the Premier League, playing for Dynamo Moscow, and became the club’s youngest player in the Russian championships.

Aleksandr Kokorin

The Zenit striker used to prefer long hair as well. In 2007, he played for Lokomotiv Moscow’s youth team and hardly imagined the public outcry his drunken actions would generate more than a decade later.

Alexander Kerzhakov

In this shot, Smolov and Kokorin are joined by another player representing the Russian national team, Kerzhakov. Currently, only Fyodor remains in its lineup. In the decade before last, Alexander was clearly more carefree and smaller by a few kilograms. Now the ex-footballer is engaged in coaching activities.

Anastasia Volochkova

This photo was probably taken earlier than 2000. On it, the former ballerina and dancer of the Bolshoi Theater is beautiful, natural and a little mysterious. By the way, she was invited to the main stage of our country as early as 1998. Choreographer Vladimir Vasiliev called her to perform as the Swan Princess in his production of “Swan Lake”.

And these photos already more reflect the public image of Volochkova, bright and epathetic. In the noughties she entered motley, if we judge by the outfits, and still sad, if we remember the turns in her career. In 2003, Anastasia was officially dismissed from the Bolshoi Theater company. The formal reason – non-compliance with the requirements of physical fitness.

Marat Safin

Now the tennis player and former world number one can hardly be seen without stubble. And with the designer Dasha Zhukova he has not been in a relationship for a long time. Although Safin’s fans were happy about their affair, because the unstable game of the athlete finally began to find balance.

Being paired with actress Elena Korikova, Marat for some time grew his hair and collected it in a small bundle. But already in this photo, taken exactly before 2008 (then the young people broke up), the tennis player is closest to his usual style. However, now Safin has noticeably recovered.

Pavel Pogrebnyak

In the noughties, Pavel first started playing for the main squad of Spartak soccer club. Having played in it for three years, the athlete changed many teams: from German “Stuttgart” to our “Ural”. But Pogrebnyak’s personal life is a different story. With his wife Maria they have known each other since high school and remain together to this day.

The footballer, apparently, resists the force of time and practically does not change visually. But his wife we saw in different images, and sometimes in quite unfortunate. Now, of course, Maria looks much better.

Alana Mamaeva

In 2007, Alana probably did not think that she would become the wife of soccer player Pavel Mamaev. Judging by old photos, it is safe to say that for 13 years the girl has had time to work on her appearance. She noticeably lost weight and, most likely, resorted to correction of some facial features with fillers.

Victoria Lopyryova

It is almost impossible to recognize Victoria in this shot, because only blond hair connects her with the former image. Since the noughties, Lopyryova gained a lot of weight, then lost weight and corrected her facial features. But training for the sake of weight loss is not her only connection with sports. The girl has been a FIFA ambassador since 2017, and her great passion for soccer began back in 2008. Then she became a co-host of Georgy Cherdantsev in the program “Football Night”.

Anna Semenovich

Semenovich almost no one associates with professional sports. Although from the age of three she was engaged in figure skating and by the end of her career reached the title of master of sports international class. And their duet with Roman Kostomarov was considered the second strongest among Russian skaters after the pair of Irina Lobacheva and Ilya Averbukh.

Over the years, Anna has changed her red hair color to blond, has noticeably gained weight and, let’s be honest, has begun to attract the attention of the audience with her forms.
