In love and athletic: 7 exercises for working out together

Valentine’s Day has arrived, and we congratulate all our readers who are in love! Remember that you can love not only your other half, but also, for example, sports and healthy lifestyle. And if you have already found your man, it is not a reason to stop working out. We offer you some exercises specially developed by Booster Workout studio. Spend this small holiday together and in a sporty way. Maybe working out together will inspire your couple and become part of your regular exercise routine.

Pair squats

Stand with your hands shoulder-width apart, feet shoulder-width apart. On an inhale, squat down simultaneously with your partner, pelvis down to the line with the knee. The arms should be down straight, outstretched. Also pull your partner slightly towards you to feel the tension. On exhalation, lift upwards. The pace of the exercise can be adjusted independently, according to your sensations. The speed of execution is not critical. The number of repetitions depends on your training and the focus of training.

Push-ups from a partner

The partner lies on the floor with his legs bent at the knees and arms stretched forward. The other person rests their hands on top of their palms and does push-ups. Both people must simultaneously bend their arms in the elbow joint. Not only the muscles of the arms and chest are well engaged here, but also the muscles of the abs, as the palm-to-palm support is unstable. This position forces the body to engage the cortex muscles, i.e. the stabilizer muscles. For safety, the partner on top can become a little higher. And also the more horizontal his position is to the floor, the more difficult the exercise is.

A person who does a standing pull holds his partner’s legs by the Achilles tendons or heels, on the inhale bends to parallel with the floor, and on the exhale rises up. Your back should be straight and your lower back flat. As you bend, look slightly forward downward. Make sure your partner’s arms and legs are close to yours. The person on the floor holds in the support on straight arms at the expense of the muscles of the triceps, also connecting the muscles of the thigh and buttocks. It turns out, the reverse plank. Another variant of the standing pull is to perform a plank on the forearms. Keep the muscles tense and the lower back flat.

Exercises for abs

Performed alternately, sitting facing each other. The person doing the abs exercise holds the shin by the back of the other’s thigh, lies with his back on the floor, and then rises. On top, you can high-five your partner or, for example, kiss him or her. The partner who sits on the floor, leaning back slightly, keeps the torso at a slight angle relative to the floor so that their abs work too.

Cross-legged lunges

Stand facing each other, put your hands on your partner’s shoulders or just hold hands. Then at the same time and with the same leg, lunge backwards with a crossing lunge. It is important to do not just a lunge to the side, but exactly a step back. The weight of the body remains on the front leg. Try to keep your back straight, you can lean forward a little. When performing the exercise, look into the eyes of your partner.

Double plank

Both people stand in a plank. The partner from above rests on the trapezius with his feet, and with his hands – on the Achilles tendons. Execution time is 30-40 seconds. There are different variants of this plank, so you can diversify the exercise. For example, try push-ups simultaneously or alternately.

Sprinter step with TRX loops

Sprinter step, i.e. jogging step. Stand on one leg and lift the other leg with the knee bent and the thigh high. Tilt your body forward and hold the balance position for about 20-30 seconds.
All exercises are recommended to be performed in the range of 15-20 repetitions for 3-4 sets after a minute of rest.
