Quarantine and house arrest will end sooner or later. And most of us will face the fact that the rhythm of life, formed over the years, will be severely disrupted. For me personally, such a situation is a huge stress for my organism. I am used to being on the move since childhood, and sitting at home has always been a punishment. In general, self-discipline is a daily struggle with yourself, a manifestation of willpower in many ways. And the best motivation in this case is your own health.

Make a plan in advance for the coming day

To make it easier to maintain the regime, you need to make a schedule. In the evening of the current day, write out a plan of action for the next. And define a system of punishments and rewards for compliance or non-compliance with this plan.

Go to bed earlier to wake up awake awake

Start your routine with sleep. Not from the time you wake up, but from bedtime. Try not to go to bed later than on normal working days. Accordingly, and wake up at about the usual time before the quarantine will be easier. It is clear that without a special need to get up, for example, at 5-6 am. But there is no need to take a nap half of the day.

For me personally, the optimal amount of sleep is 8-9 hours. In this case, you should wake up at midnight or 1 a.m., not later.

Make time for physical activity

Try to make your exercise time coincide with your “pre-quarantine” time. You should eat about three hours before physical activity, and it is best to exercise at the beginning of the afternoon. To make it easier to stick to your exercise regimen, arrange a joint online workout with a friend or trainer, participate in a challenge or fitness marathon.

And only after all the things done can you devote yourself to movies, reading, cooking and other chores. It is clear that at home you don’t have to completely copy the routine of your regular workday. But you should try not to have a strong variation. In this case, it will be easier to “acclimatize” when we return to the usual pace of life.
