What’s on celebrities’ plates? How well do Hollywood celebrities eat?

Does Catherine Zeta-Jones eat right? Should we take an example from Gwyneth Paltrow? What does Kim Kardashian spoil herself with? We decided to look into the plates of the stars and together with nutritionist Taisia Prokopenko to analyze their diet.

The celebrities’ diet could be called ideal, if not for their fixation on the composition of products and limiting carbohydrates.

Catherine Zeta-Jones has given up sweets

Catherine Zeta-Jones repeatedly got into the lists of the most beautiful women in the world. For this she had to sacrifice a lot and give up her favorite sweets. Their actress allows herself very rarely.

Breakfast. Waking up, the first thing Catherine drinks coffee. Then eats porridge with bananas and blueberries or non-fat vanilla yogurt with granola and raspberries. On weekends, the star allows herself for breakfast scrambled eggs with bacon, baked beans and popular French toast with mozzarella and greens from Martha Stewart’s cookbook.

Porridge is starchy and a great option for breakfast. Bananas and blueberries are fiber that goes well with porridge. Skimmed yogurt is also a good option: these are fats that give a feeling of satiety. The only thing is that these dishes lack protein, so I would add, for example, a piece of cheese or a boiled egg.

But scrambled eggs with bacon, which the star allows herself on weekends, I like it better – it is a perfect combination of fats and proteins. This variant of breakfast is balanced: the feeling of satiety is retained for 4 hours. In my opinion, this is exactly how the first meal should be for a person who then works all day, running errands and hustling.

Lunch: Catherine’s lunch diet always includes a salad with spinach, pine nuts, tomatoes, blue cheese and dried cranberries. She dresses all this splendor with a dressing made of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and mustard. For lunch the star prefers grilled chicken breast or cod with stuffed eggplants.

Salad with nuts is fiber and fats, a great combination. In general, the star has a light lunch, so I would add a small portion, at least 60 grams, of some starchy product, such as cereal. It is also good to supplement the main meal with some treats.

Dinner. The evening meal consists of filet mignon with shiitake mushroom sauce, roasted vegetables and fruit salad with oranges, apples and figs. The actress is a big fan of cauliflower baked with cheese – it’s her mother’s specialty. But she avoids by-products and flavor enhancers like monosodium glutamate.

The star also has enough protein and fiber for dinner, but again there are no starchy products. Apparently, she limits herself in cereals, but if I were her, I would add to the diet, for example, buckwheat, rice, quinoa or pasta. Because usually a person who eats like that has a breakdown into buns and pizza. There is nothing wrong with limiting monosodium glutamate, it is really worth avoiding. The main thing is not to get too hung up on reading labels and composition, otherwise it will lead to orthorexia, an eating disorder – an obsessive desire for a healthy and proper diet.

Gwyneth Paltrow follows a macrobiotic diet

At 48, Gwyneth Paltrow looks great. What is her secret? The actress works out a lot and sticks to the right diet.

Gwyneth is a fan of the macrobiotic diet, which was developed in 1920 by Japanese philosopher George Osawa. The peculiarity of this diet is in the simplest and healthiest food possible. The star’s diet is rich in organic whole grains and farm vegetables. But meat and fish she allows herself very rarely. The actress periodically conducts detoxification, and on weekends she spoils herself with dessert. Her favorite dish is a Mexican dressing with an interesting name “Green Goddess” based on goat yogurt with jalapenos, coriander and honey. This dressing she usually adds to salads and chicken. As a snack, the actress likes raw almonds with raisins and coconut water or lemon, water and agave juice. She also loves potato chips, but tries to avoid them.

These products are forbidden in Gwyneth’s diet:

  • refined carbohydrates;
  • white sugar;
  • alcohol;
  • caffeine;
  • processed foods.

Here’s what Gwyneth’s sample diet looks like for the day, which she outlined in her cookbook, All Is Well.

Breakfast:

  • potato roll;
  • poached egg, garlic spinach and turkey bacon.

Lunch:

  • Lobster salad;
  • duck broth;
  • bean salad with grilled shrimp.

Dinner:

  • Risotto with green peas;
  • fried rice with cabbage;
  • hamburger with tuna and ginger.

The fact that Gwyneth categorically avoids sugar and carbohydrates, in my opinion, is too much. On the other hand, since she is so much concerned about nutrition and fixates on natural products, perhaps she has an eating disorder. At least that’s one of the criteria for an eating disorder. But of course, it’s hard to judge and draw conclusions from her diet alone.

In general, her menu is balanced, with enough protein, fat and carbohydrates. For example, a tuna burger is a good option. The fish has a sufficient amount of protein, the bun is cereal, and the vegetables in the dish are a source of fiber. The star’s diet could be called ideal, if it were not for her fixation on organic products. After all, if you constantly limit yourself, then there can be breakdowns.

Kim Kardashian became a vegan

Kim owes her figure to a plant-based diet. The model tried many different diets, but decided to stop at the vegan one.

Breakfast. In the morning she prefers scrambled eggs from vegan egg substitute based on mung beans, avocado toast, oatmeal pancakes with blueberries and juice from green vegetables.

Lunch. Vegan tacos are the star’s favorite lunch dish. She also tries to include vegetables in her daily meals.

Dinner. Consists mainly of vegetable salad, pumpkin soup with nuts, guacamole with vegetable chips and a protein shake. It would seem that Kim is a model, so she should eat right. But she has many favorite dishes, which can not always resist. Sometimes the star allows herself a slice of pizza. She also loves hash pancakes, in our way – potato pancakes. Sweets, especially candy, vanilla wafers and graham crackers (traditional American cookies) – another weakness of the celebrity, which most often she replaces with fresh fruit.

If Kim became vegan due to a decrease in physiological needs and cravings for animal protein, including meat, it’s normal. But if she came to it at the call, so to speak, of the diet mentality, that is, the division of products into good and bad, it is, of course, not very good. In general, a vegan diet can be balanced and healthy if you consume enough protein. Judging by the star’s diet, she’s doing just fine with that. But, replacing her favorite sweets with fruits, she deceives herself. After all, bans work only for a while – sooner or later the temptation to eat something sweet will lead to overeating.
