4 beautiful places in the Far East

The effort you’ll spend on your trip will be worth what you’ll see.

What to see in the Far East?

The ambassador of the Nationwide Union of the Hospitality Industry of Primorsky Krai answers.

Traveling in your native country can be no worse than traveling abroad. Russia has a huge number of natural beauties that are worth seeing at least once in a lifetime. The Far East, for example, is a unique region. In addition to the classic tourist places, there are also those that are not easy for travelers to reach. But adventure lovers will not leave indifferent these corners of the easternmost region of Russia. Lyala Aleksakova, an ambassador of the National Union of Hospitality Industry of Primorsky Krai, together with her team managed to reach several hard-to-reach places in the Far East.

Primorye is very beautiful, and the effort you have to put into your trip will be worth it!

You can only get to the Yew Grove from July through September. Registration for the tour opens about three days in advance. Tourists get to the destination by boat of the Lazovsky Reserve and necessarily accompanied by a guide. If you want to visit the grove, contact the administration of the reserve in advance.

Benevskie waterfalls

They are also located in the Lazovsky district. But it is not easy to get to them because of logistics: the nearest large settlement is Vladivostok. From the capital of Primorye to the trail to the Benevskie waterfalls is about eight hours drive. Traveling to the waterfalls takes tourists about one day. People get to the destination point by car, then can spend the night and then go to the waterfalls.

Benewah Falls

To enjoy the natural beauty, the traveler will have to make a lot of effort: the road to the waterfalls will take about 2.5 hours one way. Sometimes you have to wade through icy mountain water. But all these difficulties are definitely worth it! The waterfall itself is very beautiful.

Dubovaya Cove

The bay is located in Kavalerovsky district of Primorye. It takes about 7-10 hours to get to it by car from Vladivostok. But this is not the end of difficulties for travelers. You can spend the night in the bay only in a tent. The nearest sandy base for rest is about 5 km away from Dubovaya. The road from the base to the bay is quite difficult and bumpy. Getting to the destination on foot will not be easy. At the end of the difficult path huge rocks of bizarre shapes will be waiting for you.

Mount Pidan

In the case of Pidan, there will also be logistical difficulties. The nearest major city is again Vladivostok. Tourists usually leave for the mountain at 5 am and take about three hours to reach the foot of the mountain. At the top the brave travelers find themselves only by lunchtime.

Pidan is not so high, but the ascent is complicated by a large kurumnik – a cluster of huge boulders. Therefore, not everyone manages to reach the top.

Pidan is considered a mountain of worship and a place of power. People come there to pray, make wishes and admire the most beautiful views. Every resident of Primorye and avid traveler who loves the Far East considers it a tourist duty to visit this mountain.
